the trespasser ending was totally worth it. There was that time is running out feel to the final stages of the DLC that is clichè bioware but it never gets old. The DLC alone felt like the work of the pre 2010 bioware i remember.

@@johnpantag472 Nothing wrong with liking it. One of the reasons I felt the game was underwhelming is that it just paled in comparison to the masterpieces BioWare had previously made. Although believe it or not, the general outline for Inquisition's timeline in the story was already written in the days of DA: Origins. I know this because there's an easter egg in Origins that hints at future events which were actually happening in Inquisition. Blew my mind when I found it. The BioWare I loved may be gone now, but there's someone worthy of succeding them, Larian studios. Highly recommend their recent games if anyone feels like they miss old BioWare's magic and other RPGs aren't cutting it. They are working on Baldur's Gate 3, a game franchise that BioWare brought to the world. So they've quite literally been handed the torch. Only gripe atm is that they Early Accessed that game to infinity, hope i live to see it launch someday lmao

Rin Okumura Strange then because solas isnt destroying the world 🤔 all he is doing is removing the veil that HE created. The fade is a NATURAL part of the world Its a metaphorical phrase he used. He means the "world" as in the dominance world of humans (who by the way subjucate and enslave elves to this day) The very thing he fought against the ENTIRE reason of the veil was to prevent his people from being enslaved to the Evanuris. If the humans hadnt been complete fucking twats for over four thousand years Solas wouldnt be pushed to the extremes again. If anything the humans are destroying the world and Solas is putting the world right. It doesnt mean the humans all die, just that their reign of terror, rape, slavery, and destruction of the planet is at an end. Solas by all definitions is actually Hero of the entire dragon age series and we're all the villains.

I played the hard inquisitor all the way through. Always making the cold decisions for the greater good, and acted the tough guy to scare everyone But at the end when I had to choose between telling Solas I’d stop him or change his mind, I told him the latter. Because I could see so clearly at that moment that the cold calculating Fen Harel was my inquisitors destiny, and I wanted us both to change.

Funny for one of my other characters had the opposite transition. I played a soft and understanding inquisitor, one who always compromised. However the moment that choice arrived my mage vowed to stop solas who he saw as a brother. This was the moment my inquisitor realized he has to put his foot down and stand up for those who cant. For if he didnt change then he might as well roll over for the next guy who claims to be in the right like corypheus, since there will always be some big force seeking domination over him and all he cares about. Interesting the different perspectives that scene created

My HoF was logical , my hawke dutiful but had little patience, so I made my inquisitor compassionate but perhaps likes the power to do good a bit too much. So despite being compassionate, one solas is a threat to everything she has worked towards, he's going down.

I dont know why but everytime I hear this, as well as the Temple of Mythal track, I get this feeling of nostalgia. It's not all at once but gradual over time as the chorus slowly changes to the instruments. It feels so familiar yet foreign at the same time. I love it, I love this, I love DA, I need DA4 now.

Riiight? I have been around Witcher franchise even before the games came out and thought that Witcher 3 was just a perfect send-off for my favorite white wolf. However, as much as the Witcher 3 is a well made story, DAI is hands down a waaay better experience! In witcher I connect with Geralt and through him with others, but in DAI I just feel a direct connection with all the characters. Ah Bioware, first KOTOR than ME and now DA, you just know how to push my buttons! :D

While the revelation of Solas' identity, role in all of DA and that whole dialogue was important, it was really more of a spoiler of what is to come. :D

@@Zarala2010 Trespasser was made to be something of an epilogue. I cant recall now but i think the trespasser dlc quest in the war table was titled as epilogue. But sadly the ending to the base game was no better than ME3's colorful ending. You have this nemesis and you cheat death to beat him and in the end you see he is actually a fragile boss and has the mindset of an immortal manchild who saw something he shouldnt have seen. Frankly no DA fan would want to accept that drivel as the ending. So even if trespasser was basically the after story it's solas' cliffhanger that gives a true ending to the game

I have such mixed feelings about this and the game. I love this music on the inside and out, Solas is one of my best companions and still can't bring myself to hate the guy in the end. I hope they don't follow the foolish path Mass Effect did. Don't get me wrong, Andromeda is ok but it wasn't Mass Effect worthy. And that's saying something!

I always saw my Inquisitor to spare life as much as possible, though throwing a bit of rage when evil just seeps from his enemies. No regrets making Erimond Tranquil. With that said, I figured my roleplaying of such would be fitting that my Mage Inquisitor would be good friends with Solas. At first, I saw Solas as a somewhat boring guy. But as I learned more of him, I grew to like him. Discovering Solas to be none other than the Dread Wolf but also having his past shamed with lies instead of being seen as a hero by his own people was just sad. he meant well for his people, willing to shed the blood of countless lives to get to that end. Me, not wanting to kill someone I saw as a friend, and at least (he) still saw my Inquisitor as one as well, knew that Solas deserved better than be treated as MERELY a traitor. I will not hesitate to putting him down, but it surely will not be a pleasant thing. But if there's a way to avoid a war with him AND getting his people back to their peak, I'll gladly look for it. I hope the choice the Inquisitior makes at the end isn't final. Cause my plan for the canon playthrough is to save him, so I promised to prove him wrong. But I hope that decision is only mandatory for Inkys appearance in DA4 and that the new protagonist can decide to spare or kill him, depending on how Solas acts. So that if he goes bat shit crazy evil an does horrendous things, we can still change our mind. This way my second playthrough with Lavellan could turn out really heartbreaking if has to be killed

It's the only Dragon Age ending with cliffhanger, makes me wonder if some finished the game at all. In trailer there are also some holes about the upcoming protagonist. One can hope for dual protagonist this time if they really decided for a new one, cause abandoning Inquisitor's role as a protagonist is beyond bad writing. Don't bother replying with "Every DA has a new protagonist". Yes that was true and it made sense because DA:O and DA2 endings werent cliffhangers, their story was done. Not this time.

Although what I'm mostly curious about, in dragon age, is that the chantry declares these ages, now it's the Dragon Age, what will the next age be. What will become of the franchise?

Kreia had an entirely different goal to Solas. The similarity ends in that they both betray you.

Flemeth is a lot closer to Kreia than Solas. Solas never schemed behind your back while he pretended to be an ally. He wanted to stop Corypheus and he never hid anything from you(aside from the fact that he is the dread wolf and that he caused the mess in a way). Kreia carefully manipulates the player and everyone around while doing her own things, having a cinical way to see life and having interest on some people. She saved her Galaxy while also wanting revenge and while also willing to "Let the Galaxy die" for someone she cherished. All that is similar to Flemeth, except Flemeth cared for her daughter in a way, while Kreia did so with the Exile.

So many are quick to judge Solas for his decisions, not realizing the torment,betrayal, and enslavement done by humanity to the elvan people. He seeks justice and to protect his people. If you searched all dialogue options he wants to Inquisiter to prove him wrong, games like this tend to want to throw monkey wrenches, every on of his decision or things he stood for were knowledge and to stand against madness. Even when "he said he has plans" that tells me he intends on dealing with the false gods and also making the thedas land of the elves once more. He is also very practical being so intellectually he would want a peaceful solution. I think their framing him as a villain, but later reveal the true villain of DA4. And my betting money it will be involving the evanuris and another blight, call it a hunch.

And he could literally turn people to stone just by the movement of his thought at the end of Trespasser. And also wanted to destroy the whole world to restore his own. You don't need to create another final boss for the next game. This is as final as it goes. But apparently this does not align with woke agenda somehow.
