in regards to people playing on "easy" - I will say even the jump from "storyteller" mode to the next step up in difficulty feels like an extremely DRAMATIC leap in difficulty, imo. This game can and will kick your ass.

At least from DAI, Lyrium is stated to be the blood of the titans. From the dlc the decent at the end one of the drawves gains magic and is connected to a titan

Two things: 1. Rook is Varric's second in command and seems to have been for an unknown amount of time, Morrigan would know Varric and so would show you more courtesy due to that possibly. 2. Rook is working to stops the gods and the new blight, and has done better than anyone else so far, Moreigan could be showing some deference due to that.

Tips from someone who, as of now, beat the game twice. Enjoy!😊 Dodging into barrels is the best way to open them, same with the healing pots. Also, for more staggers, it's best to use your small attacks ( aka square buttons). The beam you've been using is for long-range attacks and makes it harder to dodge at times. Absoultly no shame in setting it to easy, but do keep I'm mind, your Rook and all three of her companions are long range girls. Once you get one of the next two companions, it will get better. The combos are set up and then detonate. Read the companions' abilities, and it'll tell you what can set up and what can detonate. If you happen to use the setup before the detonate, an arrow will point out the detonate abilities that can be used with it, even a few seconds after. As for the whole dwarf-magic conversation, i highly recommend going back and watching stuff from the decent dlc from DA Inquisition.

Try dodging through boxes/breakables. It’s faster than attacking them.

friendly reminder that you can change the difficulty in the systems menu, its really good bc u can customize everything to your liking and makes battles so much more easier or harder bc some enemies in this game can be rlly strong which makes battles feel too long and tedious sometimes so incase yall just want more story and less fighting there u go :)

Personally i played normal mode and imwas fine and I’m usually more an easy mode girl. Through customization of the difficulty is useful, the more,forgiving timing mode is quite helpful

Aditional tip for fast box breaking meta: run with staff and click attack. Rook will do a jump staff area hit with it. (also your companions can use healing abilities out of combat as well)

Always a joy hearing your commentary! Very intrigued to see what you think of the writing - it's a bit of a strange Dragon Age game in that it's trying to be accessible to ppl new to the series, sort of a soft reboot, but for fans of the franchise and lore it can be kinda ??? This isn't to say I haven't enjoyed it tho! The combat is very satisfying once you get in the swing of it and I feel like the story really hits its stride tail-end of Act One Which boxes are breakable and which aren’t seems random to me but dodging into them is a lot faster and less annoying. Regrettably no search bubble :( The companions can’t be hurt as far as I can tell but they also don’t seem to be targeted (at the very least Rook is targeted way way more), apparently a consequence of it going from multiplayer to single? It’s rough out there for Rook Can’t wait to see you guys play more! Very fun to watch people go in blind, hyped to see what you think about the characters
