Looting the same armour and weapons will happen often and it improves it, unlocking the special abilities of it. Buying it was the grey version, looting it got it to green. It wasn’t a waste in anyway

Me, a new player, realizing I got through this fight because I decided to main Necrotic build because of the Mourn Watcher path I chose 😅

Duplicate equipments unlock their properties. So buying equipment is never a bad call. You also managed to avoid the other merchants in the market again. 😅 General tips for builds: always take the two skills that detonate or apply a condition and get whatever third you like. Generally the bottom skill is pretty strong and has more upgrades. Don't neglect healing tho.

Hey so I don't typically like watching videos of people playing video games with commentary because the commentary usually detracts from the game rather than enhances it, but I wanted to say that you two did it perfectly. You allowed the moments to breathe and you had such thoughtful and respectful responses. I played this game once through by myself and then watched all 13 of your videos on this because I wanted to hear other interpretations on the game, and I'd say half of what you said confirmed my initial interpretations but another half of what you said completely changed the way I thought about certain aspects of the game and what it was trying to say. 1000xRESIST was an incredible game and this was an incredible playthrough. Bravo to Sunset Visitor and bravo to you!

I have binged this entire franchise with you guys over the last few weeks, and rewatching it and reabsorbing it, I get what Gina meant back in Danganronpa 1, when she said that it was literally kind of both a celebration of the series, but it also clearly hates itself in a way. I love it so much. I really love this game and I love the ending. The whole overarching point that it makes is absolutely true. Just because it's fiction doesn't mean it can't impact your life and can't be important. A lot of fiction, especially science fiction, has literally driven the world forward. So much technology we have now is because creative and scientific minded people were inspired by fiction. Not to mention all the religions out there that are affecting the world because of fiction. Won't make a list or anything cuz people will get real mad. I just love it. I think this is wonderful, and I'm so glad that I found you guys and I'm along for the ride. I also get why people don't like it, but I disagree wholeheartedly.

Glad you're enjoying Treviso- it really is a lovely hub area. The timeline of this game is one of the few aspects that, much as I love a lot of Veilguard, I will not even attempt to defend. There is a vague suggestion that Rook is out for a while after Solas' ritual, giving the Evanuris a week or two (VERY unclear exactly how long) to get underway, and there are things later that suggest they had SOME level of info before escaping, but they honestly do just move at the speed of plot. It's particularly egregious in Act 2, where the main plot's pacing slows for a bit to make way for character-driven stuff. I will absolutely defend most of Veilguard to the hilt, but yeah, it absolutely feels like way more time passes for the rest of Thedas than for the team in these early hours.

Keep the caretaked upgraded as much as you can, that determines the level of your loot. Also a small hint about the gods, when you left the blighted village, Guill Ganneine (or whatever it’s spelled) talked to you through an archdemons. Will let you think that over

I really hope you will find your footing and get to enjoy the game more! I've been absolutely loving it but I also don't have much issue suspending my disbelief and just going with the plot so I understand why you've been having a harder time. A couple of comments: The passage of time is very vague but I think Rook was out and healing for a while after the ritual. Since there is no actual day night cycle it's pretty hard to keep track but companions are implied to be going out into the world on their own from the lighthouse and they are keeping their own correspondences, sending letters back and forth and reaching out to people. So I think there is more time passing than it feels like?

I really don’t like how they handwaved a bunch of lore and turned dragon age into mass effect with the holograms and lyrium flux crystals. And antiva did have “merchant princes with their own armies”, why are the crow freedom fighting patriot mafia now? The lore just feels so flanderized? Or simplified? Like what the heck happened with the crows or solas’ followers? Qunari are tieflings now... Also every time bellara says “oh no” I keep thinking of the “oh no the table it’s broken” meme

As someone who has major difficulties with vulnerability like Siffrin, lemme tell you this ending made me cry for like 30 minutes straight

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. There are people holding back info from Rook and the player...it's mostly egg's fault for the drip feed, but all of you questions in the first 30 minutes do have answers from the characters in the game, but those answers come at odd times from the early first Act to damn near the start of Act 3. The best way I had found to deal with the sporadic dispensation of info was to go: "Okay, I'm Rook and from this I ONLY know what OTHERS in the game tell him, many speak the truth, most speak half truths and a a bunch just outright lie and or confess their lies." And it conflicts with the player base, be cause over just the past 10 years from Inquisition, we thought we had those answers, conjectures, and theories, and that's incredibly frustrating because the player has to play the entirety of the games for Rook to effectively catch up to the player. Why are the Venetori and "rogue" Antaam working for Evenuris? How do they even know of them? Sure, I'll give a pass to the Veil Jumpers because they're actually in Arlathan Forest researching their past. I see this as the major hick-up in the game's design: they wanted to make money and attract new people, but also let the fans in on the larger machinations without alienating new people. Just to be upfront, I loved this game, but it just seems to get in it's own way...And don't get me started on the fact that IMHO, I think Bioware is trying to "wrap up" the world of this and the three previous games for a "fresh start" in the game that would come next if they are allowed. These weren't solely bad decisions, I just don't think it worked as well as they wanted...A bit of Mass Effect 3 mistakes, with the world building more similar to Dragon Age 2 can leave an unsatisfying taste on the tongue.

Yep. This is...sort of retconned or patched up lore. This game, while still fun, ends up doing...quite a bit of that and for some, me included, it is frustrating to see that. But I suppose it is what it is. Also gotta love Gina diving straight into the storys plotholes. 😂 Gathering codices entries is what lets you level up your enhancing shop in the lighthouse. So always good to buy and get them whenever possible. Ps: There was even more of the market you did not explore.

Yeah it seems to be balanced for 'leave' to be the default ending in this remake if you don't do anything special, which I'm a fan of. I think it's the most thematically satisfying since the others kind of sabotage Eddie and Angela's positions as mirrors and contrasts to James (In Water being too similar to Angela's themes and Maria to Eddie's). Very well-made game

Spoilers regarding the truth Maybe you already figured this out if you’ve checked out the captions for the truth pictures, but basically, Mari was a perfectionist and pushed Sunny too hard in preparation for their recital. As a result, Sunny got fed up with all the practicing and threw his violin down the stairs. Mari got upset with him, and Sunny tried to leave, but she blocked his path. He pushed her out of the way, but unfortunately, that was from the top of the stairs.
