In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, players step into the role of Rook, a customizable protagonist with a choice of warrior, rogue, or mage class. Set within the rich fantasy world of Thedas, this installment centers around gathering a team of unique allies-known as the Veilguard-to thwart the ominous plans of Solas, the Dread Wolf. His goal is to breach the Veil, the mystical barrier between worlds, which threatens to unleash chaos upon Thedas.
Players will journey across familiar locales like Rivain and the Deep Roads and experience a flexible combat system allowing for real-time action or tactical pause to manage skills. Choices matter in The Veilguard, from character backstory to faction alignment, influencing story direction and companion interactions. As you progress, you’ll find romanceable companions and will be making choices that shape your journey and relationships.
This single-player RPG brings back beloved characters like Varric and introduces new companions, each with unique abilities and rich backstories. Hans Zimmer even composed the game’s theme, adding a cinematic feel to the adventure.
