That's what I've seen all the tributes to Toriyama Sensei uses too. Other openings are energetic and powerful but the GT opening is melancholic and hits really different than the others.

I cant thank akira enough for creating gohan who taught me so many lessons like having a heart when someone needs it even in their darkest days. Or striving for education , is never a bad idea. Or Protecting what you love makes you go beyond limits. thank you for giving me an amazing childhood and still loving dragon ball and dragon quest to this very day.

@@lu1gi92 It was all evident about him during Cell saga. He was the one who killed Cell (major plot armor but ok) and since Cell killed Goku, Gohan was planned to have the whole DBZ just for him but fans really wanted Goku back and the rest is history (Buss saga and all when Goku returned...).

I first watched Dragon ball back in 97 as a young 5 year old kid in a small unknown town in Mexico. My mom sisters and I used to sit down and watch the story of Goku unfold every evening. And today I am watching it with my wife and son, he’s almost 6. Thank you Akira Toriyama for a wonderful story. Rest in peace Sensei

Growing up in the 90s watching Dragonball, many wonderful childhood memories. Thanks to this one man that i have never met, yet he has made such a huge impact on not only me, but countless others around the entire world. My heart aches when i found out about Akira's passing. After having my Father pass in January this year at the age of 50...and now Aki Sensei at 68...it's just a heartbreak after heartbreak...and it's hurts how such wonderful people just get taken away suddenly... Also wish I could talk to my father telepathically just like Gohan could with Goku...or that at least we had Dragon Balls in our world so we all could revive those who deserved to live longer...

This Dragon Ball Gt host is a very powerful music theme in my opinion. Everytime I hear it it makes me emotional, and hearing it with that image of Shenron and the fact that it’s a tribute to Toriyama, it makes me cry. Rest in peace legend you will be missed.

Dragon Ball is the first comic book my father showed me, when I was 6. I remember him reading the Freeza part, with starry eyes. I could see he loved it so much that he introduced it to his son and I felt my father very close to me. I am going to present my old dad its complete set and sat thank Toriyama for the warm memory.

He showed me that ultra instinct is possible. When thinking ceases, you see that the body is moving around on its own all the time. Thought gives the illusion of a "doer." Now, even if thoughts occur, there's no hope or fear cause everything is moving by some divine power. Thoughts or not, there is awareness of both those states. This awareness is a true miracle. That's what he showed me through his work. It was there even in DragonBall when Goku fought the Goku copy doll for his training with Mr. Popo. He stopped thinking, and his body "moved naturally." I actually saw Mr. Toriyama's face on the news about his passing, and then I was listening to this song, and it suddenly his face and my childhood memories overlap, bringing tears to my eyes. I fondly remember playing Dragon Ball with my friends in front of the apartment building in my neighborhood, and the excitement of borrowing the manga from the store, eager to find out what happens next. These memories are all precious and well-preserved somewhere in my heart. I was surprised by my tears, but I think they represent my gratitude for the greatest gift of my childhood given by Mr. Toriyama. I offer my condolences; having Goku in my life brought me so much joy.

I like watching and playing Dragon Ball series and games. I don't know what I'll do without Akiro Toriyama. I keep dreaming about a new series when Goku becomes a foster parent to a child who's 100 percent Saiyan who's born on planet Earth named Zartan.
