Nobody thought to give Chiaotzu a Senzu because nobody but Goku knew about the healing properties, and Goku isn't the sharpest bulb in the woods. I guess there's also Yajirobe, but he tried to keep a low profile.

@@Celestia282 Can't even thru it on Bulma for that- she brought out the Launch, but Launch decided where to aim. (So unless Launch has more bank than I recall...) Maybe Bulma was smart enough to load those extendo-mags with blanks (which yes, can do damage- but not as much)

People sleep on Yajirobi. He is one of the strongest people on Earth, nearly as strong as Goku when he first fought him. Remember in Z when everyone was training at the Lookout in preparation for the Saiyans Yajirobi was casually dodging all of Krillin's attacks while stuffing his face full of food at the same time. If he actually applied himself and wasn't a coward he could easily be the strongest or second strongest human.

The name of the strange little man who ended up beating Yajirobe, is Shen. This is plot important info, but the FUNimation had to rename him Hero, because they already gave Crane Hermit the name of "Shen", they've thought having two characters named Shen in one storyarc would be confusing. I guess FUNimation didn't do much research into this series beforehand, and didn't realize that the name Shen was already taken back when they were translating the Tenshinhan storyline. They already gave The Turtle Hermit the name Roshi, so I bet they thought it'd be weird for Roshi to have a first name, but for Crane Hermit not to.

Yeah, Master Roshi = Old Master Master. Should have just gone with Master Muten Roshi. As long as you don't know what Muten means it can work in English.

Personally I like DBZA’s explanations for dub name changes, “I can’t believe you’re banned from 35 Victoria’s Secret locations. How are you not on some sort of list?” “You really think ‘Master Roshi’ is my real name?”

Fun Fact: Hero was originally named Shen, but since the dub didn't know this in advance, they already gave that name to the Crane Hermit and had to make up a new name.

“Ma Junior” is a combination of the kanji “魔” (devil in English) and Jr. Shen is one of the readings of the kanji ``神' (God in English)． With that Shen It is a combination of ron, which is one of the readings of the kanji ``龍''. Shenron (God's Dragon)． By the way, a character named Shin appears later in the story, which is also based on Shin, which is one of the readings for the kanji for "神" (God).

ShenLong which is the Chinese pronunciation of those kanji (Chinese and Japanese share many of many of the same characters) is a dragon/deity and in some versions a longwang (dragon king) from Chinese mythology

DRAGON BALL CLICHE': Poor Yamcha he would have to fight one of the strongest character in the first elimination round of the tournament just to lose, and show how strong the new characters are, and people would call him weak, even tough his opponent was just too strong compared to all of the Z Fighters except goku.
