Problem is by that point in the match it’s way too late for contributions to really shine. Not to mention, Gofrieza’s disruption more often than not is way higher, even without revive and cover change. Meanwhile the gammas are constantly controlling the game offensively, even against red units and gofrieza is being the biggest case of a caveman brained unit that isn’t gogeta blue, kid buu, and rose.

Ultra Gogeta Blue isn’t super common these days and Piccolo counters the Frieza side of G/F. Part of the reason Piccolo’s is slept on is because his pre-revival form isn’t that good.

Gamma 1/2 is a on field combo full damage unit that is meant for long combos and nothing else, they have their core breaker, their tag switching and so on to help them fill that role of damage dealer. Piccolo on the other hand is a disruptive unit meant to stop your combos, counters your attacks and eat your rising rushes through his revival, a feature that gets undervalued so much by people. He himself does great damage on his own. Comparing 2 completely different types of units that fill 2 completely different roles on a team, is just rather dumb.

Not only does he have revival, giving the team even more ridiculous survivability on top of all the bs Buu does, he also works as an excellent disrupt with his counters and his unique gauge. It's not all about the unga bunga damage, it's also about how well the character benefits the team as a whole, and through that orange Piccolo gives very good survivability improvements through the fact that he can eat a rush and do amazing damage after he has revived on top of everything. This Piccolo reminds me of the revival UI Goku. I thought he looked pretty bad when he first came out, but once I started using him more and more and saw him in more circumstances, I changed my mind. This Piccolo will definitely age pretty well over the course of the next few months.

[Pre-revival] I personally think he is a mixed bag. He makes for a great support with his team heal (excluding himself), sub count manipulation and his damage is outstanding. He is a great green character who's very valuable to Kid Buu on regen. His green card spawning post blue card also synergises well with Buu's AoE stupidity. However, his defence isn't exactly the best which was to be expected for a revival character, and I feel that his green card could do with a bit more like gauge recovery or drawing a card so that piccolo isn't completely defenceless after ending the combo with a blue (that being said, you can usually just switch characters anyways) [Post-revival] Piccolo does outstanding damage, as his "melee" typing suggests. His blue card hits like a truck, similarly to Revival Goku. His type nulification is extremely useful as it allows him to deal loads of damage without having to worry about element factor. His gauge essentially ends any combo, and his green card and blast armour make him unapproachable. Nullifying cover and card destruction with his green card also allows him to continue his rampage, and he has great defensive capabilites coupled with this However, similar to his pre-revived state, I think that he struggles to tank, despite being given so many defensive capabilites such as debuffs on cover change, type nul, dmg reduction, and so on. I personally think he will age quite well considering since he is a melee -support- type and that his defence and damage don't define how much of a useful character he is. It isn't just about his damage and tanking, it's also about his utility

He's a modern version of LF Revival Gohan, I like him a lot. He works really well with the new base gohan (who shoud've been yellow btw). People who say he's mid are just used to braindead Ultra's who play the game for you like UGB, Kid buu and Rosé.

Pre-revival his support for the team is very nice, especially the support from the main, but I feel as though they could have given him additional defensive buffs after transforming, landing the counter is probably one of the most satisfying feeling and the offensive power of this Piccolo is honestly incredible. I don't feel like this is Piccolo's fault for being like this defensively, it just every recent PUR unit is the issue for him (especially the buff that Goku/Frieza received), all it takes is one blue card to completely take 70% of Piccolo's health post-revival.

On the Piccolo banner, it was pretty much deja vu based on what happened on the Beast Gohan banner last year. 19k cc, got zero Piccolo (just like with beast), got many copies of Gohan (just like with Pan) and got the wrong LF Piccolo which was the Yellow one (just like getting the wrong Gohan being future Gohan which was also Yellow LOL). At that point, I already knew what my fate was so I'm not spending anymore crystals I gain and will be saving for the part 3 Ultra. At least it's not a total shaft since I got the Gammas and Magenta in 7k cc and I have Orange Piccolo in Dokkan. Of course, with the total of 26k cc spent on both banners, no Beast Gohan just to add to my 32k cc shaft. 😒

100% a top 10 unit. His defence really isn't great that's true but his revival in general makes up for it and his disruptive abilities are insane. Cover changing with this guy when the enemy isn't immune to debuffs is just guaranteed to stop the combo almost instantly. Plus his gauge in orange form is a get out of jail card. Even if you get comboed by kid buu with two times card draw you can cover change to orange piccolo and you'll stop the combo instantly with the gauge and two times card draw down. His green card is one of the better green cards in this game. The card protection is crazy strong against units like gofrieza, future gohan, kid buu with gauge, Rose and pretty much all meta units that have cover change card destruction. If you get a green off the enemy is f**ked cause his damage output in orange form is one of the higher in the game. He definitely takes skill to utilize well but his disruption, supportive capabilities and crazy good damage in orange form makes him very strong. Imo he's definitely top 10 and a great release. Not every new LF has to break the game beyond belief. I'd say he's better than gofrieza prebuff.

I have both orange piccolo and the gammas and I’m a huge orange piccolo fan but he defenses has flaw even with his gauge. His damage isn’t that special or anything. The gammas has more survivability cuz they heal a lot. With this piccolo, you have sum heals Buh it’s just not enough and he dies quickly. I’m disappointed to be honest.

SO many people are underrating him. It's insane how much people think he sucks, when in reality he is busted. People really need to remember that revival characters main goal is to revive, so of course he won't be tanky in base. He has incredible utility, the only thing he's lacking is some defense and a gauge reset post revive.

To sum up the db legends community, we dont like units who dont't one shot and get one shotted (contradicting yourself there already), we only like units that do. You understand this is a fun mobile game to enjoy the dragon ball series not Dragon Ball PvP Legends, you dont have to use characters because they are good in PvP, play the characters you enjoy, who cares if people hate it because it isn't in the top 10. The game maybe about Shonen characters but that doesn't mean you got to be like one yourself. Peace

For some reason just because gofrieza got a buff everyone thinks piccolo will too, although they specifically said it was for that SINGULAR instance... I don't think he's underwhelming enough to warrant a gofrieza-style buff but maybe in the form of a plat I could see happening?

This is the exact same thing that happened with Dokkan. Immediately after STR F2P Vegito Blue got buffed, the (let's be honest) idiots asked for a buff for pretty much every unit under the sun. The same thing seems to be happening here down to every detail. Expect this to last a few months and then it'll stop. But be ready for the next few new unit showcases to be full of people asking for buffs because they think that a unit should be as good as Ultra Rose.

⁠@@Karma_896Worst of the 3 but he is by no means bad. He provides a lot of utility to his team while still putting out high damage. His role is a support disruptor that can do damage as well. So yeah his performance isn’t going to seem as potent as go frieza, who you can always see their effects at play with damage, vanish restore, card draw, card slot locking, etc.
