I would’ve loved to see a revival standby mechanic. So this unit would be Goku and Vegeta tag switch and once the preparation gauge is full, Goku comes out the battlefield and lets Vegeta attack so Goku can charge the spirit bomb. If Vegeta dies, depending on how many allies and how many counts have elapsed, the damage would be scaled and Goku’s spirit bomb would happen once Vegeta dies.

After using him for a bit I think his only issue is Ki. He can be a bit ki hungry on account of no cost discounts, and he doesn't get it on switch in. Other than that I'm really impressed with how he's been performing at 9 stars.

And this is why I’m wondering if overall DBLFkidgoku is better because just having him on the team I plenty of ki on green,blue, and ability activations that allow me to combo forever then get easy one shots on the target of choice. For example I just had a match where I comboed out a unit, then popped my main while having a blue, I use the blue and one shot revivalLFuigoku first which partly baits the opponent into thinking I’m going to LFcharge making it succeed often, then when he gets up go for ANOTHER bait and one shot again with the LF. Thats 2 units 1 being a revival of similar limit break in one combo. Sure hes gimicky but once you make sure to rush he’s right back to being able to combo all over again. Not to mention if I get plenty of greens to extend those combos.

Not to even talk about the fact that he is obviously a different color while purple is dead in the meta, not sure why you would even think that you could use one over the other in the same role, just because they share the tag kid and son family doesn't mean that they are even remotely the same lol.

So here's the thing. I fully understand how everyone feels about this being another son family unit. Here is my take and opinion. They needed a bridge character. Someone who can be good on gt but on other strong teams. If he was a primary GT unit he'd be dead in the water right now.

At least they could have made his spirit bomb a death AOE like LF Cell's and if they did a combination of it and the preparation mode, it could've been perfect, like, when he dies he would get a gauge that empties over time while you are fighting with other characters, and then he would attack with the Death AOE

This Unit should've been a Revival Goku that when he gets killed in his first live he revives as Vegeta (like Pikon/Gogeta) as a sudo preparation mode like the Gammas, but instead of depleating the Unique Gauge ge fills up an Unique Gaugue with the time where when its full it unlocks Vegeta's main with an Ult bein the Kid Goku's Universal Genki Dama. This would be really unique.

the GT tag is just an LF dispenser at this point. Between G4 drawing an ult, and this guy reducing vanish, going neutral and 100% damage cut pen vs last man you need to go out of your way to not land an LF.
