This is a fun movie. It is classic Dragon ball captured in 40 minutes. A mystical journey, monsters, the whole gang is here, Launch doing her thing and Krillin being a total gremlin. And of course, Goku turning into a Great Ape/Oozaru. Love it!

Sabat as Yamcha and MacFarland as Roshi are the only major characters voiced by the usual VAs. Everyone else is different in this movie, thats why they sound off. Though Krillin's VA does a really nice kid Krillin.

Laurie Steele's performance is kinda interesting. All the other DB regulars in this test dub of a movie are still feeling things out and would continue to do so in Z, but Laurie has her Krillin voice down pat here.

In the Japanese version Yamcha, Oolong and the rest don't know Goku turns into a giant monkey at the full moon, and have to be told his weakness by Krillin. For some reason FUNimation changed it so that they already know, spoiling the continuity of the last movie. This was dubbed by FUNimation first, long before dubbing the first film, but it's still a weird choice, as it robs Krillin of his moment of helping out

How do I prefer Stephanie Nadolny as kid Goku Ceyli did a good job in my opinion aa well. She voiced KidDende in a couple of episodes of Dragon Ball Z during the FUNimation dub on the Namek saga till she was replaced by Laura Bailey you know remastered version. Ceyli Delgadillo did an awesome job as kid Dende:-). She was alright as Goku but her voice sounded very innocent like, and sweet as kid Dende just like Laura Bailey:-)..
