They are meant to be stuck at the end of the anime events (after the ToP) as far as their knowledges go, so they don't know the future events that happen in the movies and the manga. A similar thing happens in the superhero movie where Vegeta just talks about Jiren when mentioning their recent strongest opponents, whereas in the same scene in the manga he talks about Jiren, Moro, Gas and Black Frieza, that's because those characters just appear in the manga so they purposely made movie Vegeta have no knowledge of them.

It's been his dream since he was 4. Chi Chi, like any good parent, decided to help her son achieve his dream. Granted, her support got in the way sometimes. His dad and uncle (Piccolo) are the ones responsible for thrusting him into a life he never wanted. By the Cell Games, they realize their error in forcing Gohan to fight in deathmatches. In fact, when Goku sacrificed himself when Cell self-destructed, he specifically told Gohan to "listen to (his) mother and keep hitting those books." And he doesn't seem to find any issues with Gohan continuing on his scholar path, which likely makes the moments where he does spar with Gohan all the more precious to him.

@@giovanniraddusa6312 I believe that it’s because Goku hit his peak character in the Cell saga so they had to nerf his progression and personality, Z Goku or even GT Goku would not behave like this and even in those series Goku had a good relationship with all his family, hate to say this but this makes me hate Piccolo a little and the Piccolo/Pan dynamic because it feels out of place and not as deep as Goku/Pan, I’m probably just coping since I’m a Goku fan😅

@pruittgaming3633 yeah... One of the fiew things i appreciated of GT was that they kept going with the relationship between Goku and Pan we saw at the end of Dragon Ball... It was clear she was the person Goku had a the most deep relationship with.... He even said she was the most precious thing he had in the world during the dragons saga... It's disappointing Super didn't take the opportunity to show more about Goku and Pan, It would've been more intersting than seeing Trunks and Goten acting like two idiots just to have more space in the story
