But SSB is 50 times Super Saiyan God, which is presumably at least dozens of times stronger than SSJ3. So SSJ4 vs SSB would be very one-sided, even though I think SSJ4 is by far cooler. The only way DBS vs DBGT is close is if GT is a direct continuation of Super, which creates so many plot holes it'd wreck a tank.

For those who don’t get how strong SSJ4 really is, its multiplier is way different from SSJ1-SSJ3. It’s like Mystic Gohan but even more enhanced. Full power SSJ4 in DBGT is way stronger than regular SSJ4. Meanwhile, in DBS, Mystic Gohan can already match SSB after just a bit of training. And the original name for SSJ4 is Ultimate Super Saiyan it’s even stated like that on DB Wiki. Now imagine if SSJ4 actually existed in DBS Goku would need at least SSB Kaioken to be able toe to toe.

i never understood why people compare blue to super saiyan 4 in arguments. it's obvious they're meant to be relative as power boosts. Citing the GT perfect files to say "4 is equal to potara which is below god!" never made any sense to me either, because 1. Even though goku stated "potara wouldn't be close to enough," neither was super saiyan god. No matter which continuity you looked at, super saiyan god is multiple magnitudes weaker than beerus. For blue kaioken times 20 to not be stronger than beerus, which, by the way, IS A THOUSAND TIMES STRONGER THAN SUPER SAIYAN GOD IS, (50x from ssb followed by 20x from kaioken = 1000x ssg), beerus would had to have been fighting with less than one one thousandth of his power in battle of gods. Kinda makes the potara statement meaningless since super saiyan god ALSO wasn't close to enough. 2. the GT perfect file statement says "Vegetto may even be as strong as super saiyan 4!" but it also states that "Super Saiyan 4 brings a saiyan's battle power out to it's fullest potential." Which means it couldn't have a multiplier like fusions and would work more like Gohan's ultimate form does. So, pick your poison: a guidebook that contradicts itself and the show, or the tens of officially licensed media encounters that depict blue and ssj4 as being relative in power. And something else to note, the idea that "golden oozaru is a 500x multiplier and super saiyan 4 is a 4000x multiplier" is also extremely dumb. If it were that low, Goku literally wouldn't have been able to hurt Baby. Plus, the elder kai states that prior to Baby transforming into his Oozaru form, goku managed to tank a revenge death ball with no damage while only using a "smidgen" of super saiyan 4's power. Now, call it a reach, but for lack of ways to quantify what the hell a smidgen is, i just use the measuring cup size. A smidgen measuring cup is 1/32 of a regular one, so about 3.125% of super saiyan 4's power is enough to tank an attack that nearly killed super saiyan 3 goku. that's a bit bigger of an increase than 10x. and Baby confirms that Goku hadn't undergone any sort of zenkai boost once he returns with his tail, so we can rule that out too. Now, I realize this has devolved into a schizo rant, but between heroes and games (which may not be canon but, neither is GT, so I don't see why we CAN'T use it.) depicting the forms as equals and the fact that super saiyan 4 is an equally ridiculous leap in power from Z as super saiyan god was, i genuinely believe the forms are equal.

In Dragon Ball Heroes (Anime) Super Saiyan 4 is superior to Super Saiyan Blue. In Dragon Ball Fusions, Super Saiyan 4 is equated to Super Saiyan Blue. In Dragon Heroes (Game) and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Super Saiyan 4 is sometimes equal to or superior to Blue. In Fighter Z it is implied that Super Saiyan 4 is as powerful as Blue. (due to some conversations with Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta and Goku, Beerus Goku GT and Goku Black) Why even with all these media giving value to Super Saiyan 4 some "fans" still insist on making it much inferior to Super Saiyan Blue?
