What probably confused you was the facts that we dont know how long they were in the incubation pods. Goku is 3 while in his pod while vegeta and broly are close in age and we dont know how long they were in theirs.

@@Married2theReal it all lines up perfectly. Goku started training with Kame around 13. He trained for 3 years before he fought Piccolo Jr. DBZ starts 5 years later when Goku was 21. Buu saga ends when Gohan was 17 and Goku was 33. This story takes place 3 years later.

Yeah, they jumped around a bit in the flashback section and didn't explain the differences as well as in Toriyama's original 3 hour script. Apparently the flashback was originally gonna be more than half of the movie.

They did a great job of focusing the story on Broly. I really hope they use him in the upcoming Super seasons. The Vegeta/Goku bromance and Goku/Bulma sibling-like bickering were all precious. Bulma being on the scene made my day - like DB DBZ times. And Piccolo whipping the Saiyans in shape made my day. I admit I thought Frieza's return during the TOP was dumb, but his premise in this movie was awesome - the best villain you hate to love lol

Anyone else also thinks that Fusion dance is more stable than the Potara? Gogeta never defused even after using that much power unlike Vegito EVEN after going SSGSS. Vegito maybe stronger in terms of power level due to the Potara fusion but I think the Fusion dance even if it's weaker, but it can match and stabilize their fused powers much better.

The ages weren’t changed at all. If you read dragon ball minus you see that all saiyan babies are kept in incubation tanks for 3 years before they’re released. Goku and Broly are 44 years old. Vegeta should be around 47.

I originally thought that potaras would make the greater fusion(Vegito>Gogeta) but it turns out that they're saying that the fusion styles create equal powered beings, so if Goku and Vegeta had potaras and formed Vegito in the same scenario against Broly, they would've been just as powerful as they were as Gogeta. Its now just two ways to reach the same level of power, with the weakness of the dance being that the two dancers have to be at an equal power level before they fuse while potara earrings don't give a fuck

What if frieza wanted to use the dragon balls to bring back king cold, but instead since he can’t use em he finds cooler, and we all remember cooler was the one who was with the training. Maybe they could have cooler have a form frieza wanna get to, but can’t. And instead of that he brings cooler along, especially since coolers issue with frieza was that he was a brat. Now that frieza is more mature AND has the golden form he gets more respect now.
