While Krillin was the first out, he at least had a proper fight. Tien was done even more dirty as he never threw a single punch in the entire tournament (literally). Unfortunate

yea was just thinking that. Should have let him had a one good fight even if he lost. honestly i kinda wished videl woulda been in the top but that would not have made sense as she does not seem to train anymore which is a shame.

To me, this is the weakest episode by far. Tien gets done so dirty, lmao. But hearing that Vegeta line at the end in Dub, kinda saves it. There is one more weak episode, but it's a little later into the tournament

The dub saves a LOT of Super's weird character writing with comedy. Chris Sabat being the voice director for the dub really helps, because he definitely knows his audience. Super is so much better for it, and I watched it subbed first

Reminder that Tien is a martial artist nearing 50 who outperformed and impressed Roshi into retirement as a teenager. As in, he was outright immune to the Kamehameha, and was able to perform the Evil Containment Wave without killing himself after seeing it being used once. Roshi aknowledge the younger generation as having surpassed him before Z even started, so Super insisting on bringing him back into the battlefield, and as the superior human combatant, is a bit of a disservice to his character arc, and to poor Krillin, Tien, and specially Yamcha. Seriously those 3 aren't supposed to be regular joes, but insanely strong individuals who only pale in comparison to Freeza and up. Or, in other words, the only people in the universe stronger than those 3 are the rest of their martial arts gang, pretty much.

It's funny. if Goku and Vegeta could fight together theirs not a whole lot that could stop them, more so if 17 and/or 18 top off their energy when able. But teamwork is is almost a dirty work for half the 7th

See.. i expected more of Tenshinhan/Tien in this. He used to be a very strong, and cool character, but these Knockouts felt a little bit off to me. Like.. yeah we have to give him that. At least Roshi got to shine pretty good.

Like Krillin, I wasn't a fan of Tien being knocked out because he let his guard down. I wished Tien and Krillin had more of a moment like Roshi and then be knocked out. Out of all the humans, Tien was the only one who constantly trained from OG Dragon Ball to Super and he should be way stronger than both Roshi and Krillin so it sucks to see him go out in a pretty basic way. It's not the worst way to get him out, but it still could've been better.
