yeahhh... you can tell the research and writing on this one is outdated. That's not to say the result is particularly wrong or anything, nowadays it could go either way, it's just funny to look back at planet level stuff for these two compared to the real strength of both Marvel and DC's herald characters, which has been properly acknowledged in modern episodes like Thor vs Vegeta and Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna. It's more so writing Thor as almost misogynistic and also using the Warrior's Madness for little more than comedic effect ("I'll kill you dead", I mean, really?) that didn't even age well when the episode originally came out

wonder woman has fought gods in the past so she had the experience needed to fight opponents like thor. also she has fought both hammer wielding opponents and those who have used electricity in the past so that doesn't surprise her. Thor has problems though as he tends to stick to straight up close range combat and falls into the tornado and lightning to try wearing people down and jumping into berserk mode if it doesn't work making him predictable.

Same goes for wonder woman. She has a exact type of fighting style. Okay in fighting it's all about predicting your opponent next move,as most good fighter follow a fighting style all moves can be predicted which is normal,both opponents have to try to predict what the other will do while they fighting,will they parry cut or will they parry thrust or block disengage. Going berserk actually makes you be unpredictable. Between the two Wonder woman is a lot more predictable as she shows all her gear. Someone who doesn't know Thor would not expect elements & berserk.

Think of it like this you got a well trained UFC fighter going against someone of the same caliber,both generally know what to expect of each other & will try too predict what the opponent will do depending on what the other does. This is predictable & relies on then the fighters skill & power to pull off the right moves to face what they know is coming. Now again you take a well trained UFC fighter & have his opponent be someone with no proper training, trying to predict what they'll do is much harder since none of their movements follow any fighting style they train to fight,will the untrained person win, definitely not but they are more likely to get more hits in then someone who is amateur going against a pro.

I hate that for some reason the fight now has a skip right at the end. It goes from Thor hitting himself to the kill move. I don't remember the details but Wondie goes into super mode, clash a bit and then Thor gets stabbed.

It was always like that, death battle i believe mentioned how they lost most of the fight not far from the show airing, you can notice the difference in certain models quality at certain points, they were able to recover most of the fight and add scenes they couldn't recover, but had no time to redo the last struggle, so they Jerry rigged wondy smacking thor with his own hammer then killing him

Thing with Superman is that he's a man with no limits. Sure, he's been nerfed multiple times, but Death Battle is supposed to take the strongest version of a character and in that sense you need someone like Popeye, Bugs Bunny, or Chuck Norris, or someone else who uses "Toon Force" rather than anykind of conventional strength to beat Superman.

A lot of people really underestimated how powerful wonder woman is, it's really insane, and they didn't even go over her some of her best feats! She once blocked an attack that was equal to the full might of Olympus, which exist outside of the multiverse! Superman is consistently the only one who amongst the heroes on earth who can match her, the two essentially are the only ones who can possibly beat the other. They're both really that powerful!

i wouldnt watch the dbz goku vs superman one, they admit they used outdated and incorrect information, if you go back to the first battle as well you'll notice they did the math wrong on their own calculations where goku would have ended up many times faster than superman.

My problem with this fight, is they basically made an amalgam of WW's feats. New52 WW has a god mode with her bracelets off. Post Crisis WW, the one that blocked all those pieces of armor at light speed and helped move the Earth, doesn't have a god mode. New52 WW, even with her god mode, has no planet busting or light speed feats. Post Crisis WW has planet busting and light speed feats, but no god mode. They had to mix and match feats from both versions to put her above Thor. Thor today is the same Thor, feats and all, that Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created back in '62. And they ignored a bunch of his feats in this battle that they bring up in the Thor vs. Vegeta fight that existed when they made this fight.

Wonder Woman would beat Thor and Kratos. 1.she beat zoom who was outside of time and could timestamp while she was blind. 2.She beat Hermes in a speed contest and is confirmed swifter than mercury as well as faster than shazam in the top 10 official DC ranking. 3.she is worthy and has also beaten DC Thor and casually crushed his hammer with her hands. 4.Wonder woman tanked the entire combined power of the whole Greek pantheon in one blast with her wrists. 5.Her God Wave allows her to one shot a Doomsday clone almost as strong as Doomsday. 6.She defeated the god of war ares several times and became the goddess of war. She is also able to beat Black Adam twice. 7.Wonder woman achieved faster speeda than kratos and thor and us a better combatant than both as she mastered everything as a kid. 8.Her God mode amplifies everything and by simply calling on athena she can continously amp her stats up, Hermes, athena ect. She can nullify magic lightning and absorb it into her gauntlets to amo herself. She can dissipate energy and omega beams with her wrists and has a one hit kill sword built to kill God's. Wonder woman only admitted that Superman is her superior and that in a fair fight no one would beat him. Superman is confirmed way faster than Wonder woman, Shazam and confirmed by marvel and DC as superior to Thor. Kurt busiek sat down with marvel and DC execs and they agreed superman would win and its confirmed canon that superman won. You guys will put respect on superman and wonder woman.

There's a lot of Thor fans who is mad about this fight but the thing is she is stronger than him faster in many ways. She's even prove to beat him in the DC versus Marvel comic we're all heroes from both sides fight. While a fight breaks out, Diana remembers who she is and her true strength and takes Thor's hammer (because she's Worthy) as he's about to hit a Valkyrie and knocks him to the ground. Wonder Woman not only beats Thor with his hammer, but she breaks it in between her hands. As Thor is devastated by his loss. And not only that some ppl will say "but he's a god" but then forget that she's a goddess. Great reaction btw👏👏👏

There was a Marvel vs DC crossover comic that pitted both worlds against each other and Diana was worthy to wield Mjolnir but relinquished it before she fought against Storm seeing as it would give her an unfair advantage. Sadly, Diana lost against Storm in that battle.

This is the problem with the DCEU: Wonder Woman is a badass warrior through and through. She shows no mercy for her opponents, only Superman can beat her (of the heroes), and she is joyfully happy to die fighting. Her badassery is WILDLY and WIDELY underestimated and under-appreciated.

i don't get why Thors hammer is a big deal anyway. the hammer thing is not much of a factor here... that's just a really heavy hammer that's it. i mean some superheros can move planets. they should be able to pickup the hammer no problem , worthy or not. most DC charters are relatively more powerful than their marvel counterparts anyway.

That hammer can destroy planets in a single hit, help absorb energy deadly enough to kill every single God across time and space, give it's user a portion of Thor's powers, allow it's user to fly at a speed that is billions of times faster than light etc you can see why it's a big deal. The hammer being "really heavy" thing is from Mythology not Marvel. In Marvel it doesn't matter how strong you are, you can be powerful enough to destroy the universe but if you are unworthy then you can't lift the hammer. The only other way to lift the hammer is if Odin allows you to by removing the worthiness enchantment.

Good thing these battles are fictional characters because they always seem to revert back to incidents in the comics........those one time or few time moments of great feats to define their abilities but then there is the physical world. Like the effects of gravity, cell integrity under stress, etc. It just wouldn't be possible to manifest half of what these characters do. They also lack many times a real reason as to why certain characters would fight in the first place..........pushing aside motivational issues, personal restraints, ethics, beliefs, etc and go straight at it with the phyciscal.

They didn't include alot of special powers thors hammer had meanwhile they included that wonder woman could summon her weapons from her bracelets they could have atleast mentioned thor's ultimate attack the God blast which took out galactus at one point and it's atleast a more prominent factor than summoning weapons out of bracelets idk. I feel like Thor didn't have a fair shot in this one. I'm Kind of bummed out

It’ll be interesting to see Thor and Vegeta because its newer and they may have some of those feats in it. They did seem to undersell Thor in this but Wonder Woman is still incredibly impressive 🙂

They used thors worst feats, 1.Thor lifted the book of infinite pages as a child which gives him infinite strength. 2. He pushed the world engine which was the size of yggdrasil which held infinite amounts of universes 3. He lifted odinsword which also has immeasurable weight 4.He can casually lift 20 planets with 1 arm and overcome infinite gravity (another infinite strength feat) 5. He was able to fight odin whilst amped with destroyer armor and the odinsword and their fight split the heavens in half (i can name more if you want)

Thor has in fact a much better match-up against Superman than against Wonder Woman, Superman does poorly against magic and has no extra defenses against it, while Wonder Woman does extremely well against magic and has multiple ways to defend against it. Thor's problem is just that he often don't uses his magic properly.

Superman isn't worthy of the hammer, Odin made an exception for him to allow him lift the hammer. This is mentioned later in the crossover comic where Superman couldn't lift the hammer anymore and Thor explained what really happened. The only DC character who was confirmed to actually be worthy is Wonder Woman.

A good rule of thumb is that DC characters are stronger than Marvel characters. Wonder Woman is one of the most busted characters in the universe. There's a reason why her, Superman, and Batman form the Trinity: they can only lose when the plot decides it.

In case you haven't watched Thor vs Vegeta Deathbattle, there they portrayed Thor to be way more powerful than he was in this Deathbattle and what's funny is that even though Thor vs Vegeta DB came out in 2022, every Thor feat mentioned were from 2013 and before.

This is comics thor. In the comics stormbreaker is beta ray bills and not thors. Its also equivilent to mojiner so doesnt change a thing Also they did thor after this and gave a weapon that would matter here, the axe he uses when not worthy. They also gave him the multiple mojiners he used when his was destroyed. Ultimate hammer, an offshoot thus not rekevant wasnot one of them. That one corrupted its users and went to someone else. I agree that certain things werent added but pick the right ones next time.

yeah, I like how they way undercut Thor's actual combat speed. Which makes WW look like she is a statue.
