Honestly it's a good way to deal with pain. If you can mentally convince yourself that something doesn't hurt as much as it does you can actually overcome it. It's almost a type of meditation and even things like hypnotism can help people who have chronic pain all the time.

13:54 Freeza was sooooooooooooo vulnerable right there. If Top accidently killed him then Freeza's soul would have been permentently erased because Goku said during the Kid Buu fight that if you get killed with an Otherworld body then your soul just ceases to exist entirely like ya know actual unalivedness haha. Super Dragon Balls might have be able to bring him back but that hasn't been tested and I'd personally find a retcon like that to be just as bad as the Potara earring retcon which I despise.

I've thought about that too, but an otherworld body can also take more damage than a live one, which was also stated in the buu arc. Remember vegeta took that beating from buu, and woulda died if he wasn't already dead.

The whole premise of the Super Dragon Balls is that they have no limits. So if reviving someone who had died while already dead _didn't_ work, *that* would be the retcon to be pissed about. And even if they couldn't for some reason, Zeno probably could since his power is essentially limitless.

@@DovahFett I absolutely would not be pissed about that retcon because it's first and foremost extremely boring but more importantly than that it's literally the 1 way currently for unalivedness to actually stick in Dragon Ball. That may never be relevant to the official canon but for fan manga it's a hard rule I'd stick to. Also it's a piece of classic Z lore that I'd must rather prioritize over Super adding just another instance of a complete undo button in the universe full of these undo buttons. It's all about stakes. One adds to stakes and other further erodes stakes. It also just makes no sense. Say they wanted to revive the entire Saiyan race along with Planet Vegeta. Shouldn't all those souls have been reincarnated ages ago according to the official canon's interpretation of the afterlife? Would 2 beings in the universe essentially share the same single soul in this instance or.... what exactly? Also they could use them to literally delete all future enemies. That's lame and will forever be in the fandom's mind as a easy win button should actual rules for these things continue to not be established. You wouldn't even need to retcon the Super Dragon Balls necessarily in a sense. Make it so these Dragon Ball do have a couple of hard rules it's just they've been long forgotten/lost to time that even that one know everything guy was out of the loop, as in one of the very few things he actually didn't know about. Would make total sense and would keep their prestige and mystery completely intact.

The Super Dragon Balls are stated to be able to do ANYTHING without limit multiple times, they have no rules, you can wish for absolutely anything, without restrictions, they are that powerful. Bringing a deleted soul back would be childs play for objects of the gods like that since the gods can erase souls in the first place. These things are stated to be capable of killing someone with power like Beerus without an issue.

@@chazo1367 I already made it clear that I didn't care about it being a retcon nor was my original post even about the Super Dragon Balls except for a quick aside acknowledging them which also demonstrates that I didn't need a lore dump on them either. Since I also elaborated on why I think their introduction into the series is bad I won't do that again. It's extremely easy for some lazy writer to go "uh they can do anything I guess" and barely do anything of note with them versus actually establishing the true consequences of their usage. What happens when you actually wish for anything? Like to be given the literal power of Super Shenron (such a no-effort "safe" name smfh) or wishing somebody back who's soul has already be reincarnated is just 2 examples where this comes into some major issues. Of course the solution is for the story to simply ignore those kinds of wishes but I still think that if that's the plan then they never should have been introduced to begin with because why bother if you're not actually going to take them to their narrative limits? Minus Zamasu using them to steal Goku's body, something I believe could have been done with any set of Dragon Balls, their usage has at least being meritted.

Frieza's arrogance and ego are two of his core traits and they are the reasons for every one of his losses. He never acknowledges when he's outmatched by an opponent. Not on Namek, not against Trunks, and not against Goku and Vegeta after he gained his golden form. He has a complete cognitive dissonance when facing fighters that are stronger than him, and this dissonance causes him to get into life-or-death situations. He's like Vegeta in that respect, where he thinks that his title entitles him to power. I think this arc contains the only instances of him ever admitting that he's not powerful enough to win on his own, and those were when he told Goku that he needs him to stay in the fight because he knows he can't take Jiren by himself.

When you been ruling the universe for so long then get a major power boost of only 4 months of training then getting 10x from just doing mental training you’d probably get over confident. Frieza lacks the ability to sense energy so all he can do is guess. Sometimes it works, like when he guessed how much Goku would have grown as he was training to reach the gold form. Other times he miscalculates or is simply too arrogant to take someone else`s power into consideration.

Frieza would doom the entire universe, and probably try to overthrow zeno. Broly, it's hard to say. As he is right now, giving him destruction energy would end bad, but with enough training he could pull it off. Considering the events of the manga, I think vegeta is the closest one to an actual candidate, but I don't see him put his saiyan pride aside to fully commit to becoming a god. Goku will never be a destroyer. I would honestly prefer if none of them actually became destroyers. Either the next destroyer isn't born / revealed yet. Or maybe uub could do the trick considering what the manga showed

Sure, we've had people commenting on this being a good strat or them moving too fast or what a combo, but never "that was amazing, so cool, wasn't it cool, so cool!" over and over. (Granted, the voices don't help.) Seriously, if you need to tell the audience what to think, you're not doing a good job showing it and letting the movie/show speak for itself.

@@Sephiroth144 You're missing a fundamental point here. It's a tournament, which means it has an audience, and the Zenos are part of that audience. So the presence of commentary is completely justified, and the Zeno's style of commentary is also justified since we've known long before the ToP that they are easily amused and simple-minded individuals. Their personalities had already been well established, and what they say during the ToP is in line with that. Remember that the only reason any of the tournaments took place was because they wanted to be entertained. Yes, their commentary is arbitrary, but so are the competitions themselves (and their rules, as we've seen the Zenos change the rules on several occasions just because they thought it'd be more fun). They are supposed to act like children. That means a constant need to be entertained, no filters on what they say, and seemingly arbitrary changes of opinion.
