Goku always wants a fair fight for his own entertainment. So he would only power up enough to “match” Frosts full power, but not so much that he would beat them easily.

Goku isn't trying to be fair to Frost. Goku is trying to get the best fight for himself. As long as Frost is not as strong as Goku, he wants Frost to keep getting stronger. Even in his 3rd Form, Frost wasn't close to catching up to Goku in base, and Goku was getting frustrated.

There is the reason why Goku went Super Saiyan against Frost because he tests his opponent's strength to see how strong they are.

well I mean Goku _has_ had medical emergencies happen to him mid-fight, actually. against 19 and Gero. his heart virus kicked in and Super Saiyan made it worse. He had to go home and take his medicine from the future {that was technically a huge-big mega sin for him to have, and also the singular butterfly effect that made this timeline not complete and utter shit... }

Interestingly enough, if you want to know why Goku almost never goes Super Saiyan 3 anymore, or why Vegeta never got that transformation, it's because it takes way too much time to animate/ draw. So, Toriyama sensei, as well as the production team used it as little as possible to save time and money.

At first I really believe it, for a second, that could be a "nice" Freeza kinda guy, simply because the 6th universe is the counterpart to our 7th universe... and only later through certain events does Frost become an a-hole but it was nice anyway. The only thing i miss here.. wish the original World Tournament Announcer would be there.. I mean he was there from the very beginning, kinda and he always delivered.

This isn't the first time Food has caused problems for Goku. He first fought Yamcha on a empty stomach and lost. Would have died if it wasn't for Bulma scaring away Yamcha (He used to be scared of talking to girls)

I don't think Goku cares at all about his own form. He knows he's way stronger in his base form than Frost is right now and he wants a good fight so he is frustrated that Frost is still holding back power while not being strong enough to give Goku a good fight. I think Goku transforming was trying to push Frost to go all out by making him realize that there is not a small gap that Frost might be able to exploit with surprise, there is a huge gap that will crush him if he doesn't go all out now.

Goku is a fighting genius. Vados administered and graded the tests. Majin Buu would be completely broken in a tournament setting more than any other character. While Goku and Vegeta are far more powerful, Buu's secondary powers and abilities would see him pretty much run roughshod over any and every team that could be brought against Team U7.

Sure it’s been said, but the voice of Frost (Greg Ayres) here is the little brother of the actor for Freeza (the late great Chris Ayres). In Japanese the same actor for Freeza just plays Frost, and as great as Ryūsei Nakao is, I find that much more boring.
