Re: Freiza variants. Nope, just Frost! Each universe has a twin universe, which has the potential to have different versions of the other universe's characters. The universe numbers that add up to 13 are paired. So universe 6 and 7 add up to 13, they both have saiyans and freiza-race. But like, universe 1 and 12 wouldn't have those things, they'd have things from each other's universes. I know you guys are a month ahead, but this is more for the people in the back

that was how it was described earlier on but then I think they forgot or something because we later see that Universe 2 has a certain race of creatures that exist in Universe 7 (see: Jimizu) and those universes are not paired

I love how goku has shown that he can identify Gods who've possessed the bodies of humans to disguise themselves but the animation studio clearly forgot about that just for this episode

Puar the cat and oolong both have the ability to shape shift at will into anything, Goku knows this but clearly forgotten, it's a call back from the original dragon ball when Goku was a kid

TFS had an idea for the scene where Yamcha hanged himself where Puar was the rope, but decided that was a little TOO dark for the final cut.

One of the complaints people had with Super was how they dumbed Goku down in certain episodes like this. While Goku wasn't the smartest in Z, it wasn't to this extent in Super. In Z, Goku felt more naive than stupid. Personally, I don't have a problem with Goku being "gullible" as long as it's limited to just gags.

The reason Goku wasn’t like this in Z except the start is because Z was back to back world threats each saga and apart from just after Freeza he is dead and we don’t see canonically what shenanigans he gets up to. He is goofier with the car stuff for instance. Super is closer to his OG DB character and Z was more the outlier because of the shows nature.

@@KirbyPhelpsPK yeah toriyama wanted to branch out with stuff back then and super circles back. The only actual world ending threats were Beerus, Zamasu and ToP itself. Other than the threats weren’t big enough for Goku to be all serious all the time.

As a anwser to Goku not seeing if "nips" had energy, people can hide their energy in dragon ball. That's how Gohan and Krillin managed to survive during the Frieza saga by mainly hiding their energy from all the strong people on the planet or some people hide their energy to catch people off guard.

Goku look like he didn't transform but he actually did when he powered up Goku and Vegeta have a form called Saiyan beyond God. Where The Duo still look like they're in base form but they can use the god ki. They just can't access the full power of the god ki unless they transform into either either Super Saiyan God or Super Saiyan blue.

I kind of like the theory of Goku knew all along. It's a but of plot hole otherwise since Goku and the rest of the Z fofhters is so good at recognizing people by their energy alone. Like how Cell felt like different z fighter because of having their dna.

Puar the Cat (and Oolong the Pig) is a Shape Shifter. Remember in DBZA, when Trunks told that Yamcha commited Suicide by hanging himself after learning that Bulma is Pregnant ? That was the "tame" version, they had an extended version of this, where you hear Puar ask: "Yamcha... can I stop being the Rope now ?"

Dang! Why is Chi Chi always trying to take jabs at Goku? She's acting like Goku doesn't work as a farmer or earn money. In this episode, Goku literally just got back from working in the fields. If I was Goku, I would feel underappreciated.

I feel like the first episode/chapter implies that Goku doesn't work consistently. He even says that he prefers to slack off and train instead, suggesting that he probably just does the bare minimum just to get Chi Chi off his back 😅.

Actually, only Universes whose numbers add up to 13 are similar to each other. This means the universes that are similar are: 1 and 12 2 and 11 3 and 10 4 and 9 5 and 8 And 6 and 7.

Fortunately enough, Goku had experiment a lot of crazy things in his life, so, stupid things like "Monaka can splice himself to fight while his other halfs is slerping" Goku can go "Yeah, why not?" P.S. funny thing, that splice to fight while watching thing will be used by other character in the manga but that is not animated yet.

If you all are enjoying the more light hearted content, you really should check out Dragon Ball. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, but it's more funny than serious most of the time. And you'll get to see how everyone was at the start and how they met (other than, well, Vegeta, Buu, and Beerus)

Goku can read energys but he also know that people can hide their true strenght, take by example Whis, nobody suspect that he was stronger than Beerus until Beerus himself brought it up. So yeah, If Beerus said Monaka is stronger, Goku doent have any reasin to not believing it.

We're getting more and more to those episodes where the Super Anime dumbs Goku down to the point that he's actually just Luffy. He was a way more enjoyable Character in Z/Z Kai because there would be a balance. Goku is goofy but he at least has average intelligence. Super's tone is more kid-ish and since Goku's Character was basically complete by the Cell Saga. I suppose Goku regressing as a Fighter and Character was necessary for Toei. Considering he's way better in the Super Manga

Personally, I always took it as those who are unable to “sense” ki like Goku and co but have high levels of power are still sensing ki, just subconsciously. This is why it was so easy for Vegeta and Frieza to learn how to sense ki, because they had already been doing so without knowing it. But in combination with the writing in this.. it kinda never worked out that good.. there is a reason why TFS made it clear on that "Power senseing is bullshit"

Even though it’s a good episode I have to say I hate how casual Bulma was about disrespecting a God and always popping off at the mouth!😂🤦🏾. I mean it’s a ridiculous writers plot hole but she needs to be taking down a few if she keeps throwing everybody’s lives at risk around her cuz she can’t keep her trap shut, very stereotypical 🤦🏾
