Biggest cap in Super as for that hour "fighting" Broly, it was not a fight it was Broly using a punching bag for an hour not even 1 punch landed from Friezer. I'm a fan of the emperor of the Universe and his nefarious attitude but having him catch up in strength so quickly when he had no one of actual consideration to train with, SMH.

Goku went ssj because his best friend, a human, was blown up by Frieza. And as far as Goku knew at that time there was no coming back for him. That's how Frieza knew that killing paragus would turn broly. If sayan pride was enough to go ssj then every sayan would. And I never said Goku denied his heritage. He just never showed any pride or much of any feelings towards it at all before broly.

​@@blakec8549Goku's entire motivation to continue fighting frieza initially is to avenge Vegeta and the saiyans, it's not why he went SSJ but it was a major part of his character progression in that arc. There's a whole sad scene with him burying Vegeta and a scene where he's internally dialoguing with himself and Vegeta's spirit about how he's a "Saiyan raised on Earth," embracing both parts of himself instead of distancing himself from his saiyan side like he'd done before. Krillin's death triggered SSJ, but he may not have ever been able to tap into that side of him in the first place without coming to terms with his heritage in the first place

I'm not entirely sure if it's meant as a callback, I think it's just the fact it's his saiyan name and the only other pure saiyan around in their universe is Vegeta, who constantly calls him by his real saiyan name. I think it was just meant to be respect between Saiyans.

​@@PragabondUm...maybe we watched a different movie or you need to rewatch it. Because Vegeta doesn't go Blue vs Broly until Broly goes Super Saiyan when he teams up with Goku. He works Broly over in base until Broly adapts then immediately and utterly stomps him as SSG until Broly unlocks the Oozaru Wrath State and then catches up again. At which point Goku takes over and absolutely does *not* match Broly in base. Unless you consider getting sent flying repeatedly and overpowered somehow him being even with Broly. He doesn't turn the tide until he goes God himself and even then Broly eventually overpowers him again until Goku goes Blue and Broly hits the wall. Until Frieza helps him go that step beyond.

@@Pragabond Goku was not matching Broly in any way, he kept getting overpowered and sent flying away, in fact, he never goes power vs power against Broly until he starts using god ki. You can even see it in his opening punch, when he and Broly clash, he immediately flies off to the side and let’s Broly’s momentum keep going, he doesn’t try to match Broly’s power.

During the Blue transformation, alot of people thought it was Ultra Instinct but it was just the colors of his transformations colliding. Yellow from Super Saiyan, Red for God form and Blue from Super Saiyan Blue. Those 3 colors become white on the color spectrum

One of the reasons I love this DB movie the most is that not only did it make Broly canon BUT also gave us a proper canon backstory of Goku's parents Bardock and Gine (this is the 1st time we saw her in DragonBall and I'm glad we got to see her interactions with both Bardock and baby Goku). I really hope the future upcoming DB sequel show gives us more insight of Goku's parents. I really want Goku to know just how much his parents loved him and how they sacrificed their lives to protect him.

What I LOVED from what they did with Broly is that they kept my fav part of 90s Broly: his savage fightstyle. Here is even more prevalent and well sustained too. Because he grew up in a wild planet he fought like an animal to survive and u can see that savagery in his fighting. This was the greatest movie of DB ever it had everything i ever wished for and way way more. Music, animation, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. I saw this in theaters 3 times and i'll do it again if its ever in theaters around here again PS. Fun fact during the fight of Gogeta vs Broly, he actually drew a bit of ultra instict to dodge some of Broly's attacks during the end part.

30:35 + is my favourite scene from all of Super, Gogeta's power up pose. But I have to say that Kamehameha is my favourite in terms of pure appearance. FEELS heavy, doesn't blast from the palms directly, it actually looks like a blowtorch, takes a while to even take form. Scary stuff. As far as the Husbando Listo goes, I'm sure Bulma's ok with it, I don't know about Chi Chi though. A little late, but the part at 30:02 when Broly fires a blast out of his mouth, the reason is because his power has risen to a point too high for him to control too fast, so his body was ejecting as much as possible to try to regulate itself. So he was basically "vomiting" ki out to stabilize his own energy.

The last attack is such a perfect fusion of Vegeta and Goku. The initial blast is the Kamehameha and the second burst is the insane burst of Final Flash. Amazing work by the team knowing the characters and blending their power.

10/10 I actually really liked this movie It's a freaking awesome movie. I believe that this broly is a far more fantastic and a far better written broly than the previous psychopathic broly. This broly actually had a relatable story and an amazing character design. I will admit, it's not an entirely perfect movie and I admit, the comedy was really funny but at some points in my own humble opinion it was a bit over done. But I will say that this movie is the best dragon ball movie to come out in years, there's a reason why it's the highest grossing dragon ball movie of all time and there's a reason why so many people, not only in Japan but around the world... completely enjoy this movie. Im glad I got the chance to watch this, I'm glad we got to see broly in action again after so many years and I'm extremely glad that broly is finally canon in the main story of dragonball. I just hope they use him more for dbs arcs and not sideline him like they did with Frieza.

The animation level is over 9000. Recently Dragon Ball Super: Broly / Demon Slayer / Attack on Titan / Bleach TYBW really pushed their animation to the next level. 1. Loved the classic animation with the modern enhanced version. It's really lovely to see Goku's hair gets animated like it was in DBZ. 2. The Transformation scenes looked powerful 3. The backstory was well made. I just love to see Goku's brother getting a redemption arc and brothers fighting together. I hope Vegeta's brother comes back in the series. 4. Like Son like father - Fusion scene. Gogeta is back 5. Freeza vs Broly - Freeza getting beat up was one of the best moments And for next, Do watch the Classic Dragon Ball series (where Goku starts his adventure as a kid with Bulma) You will definitely enjoy the adventure.

There’s an interesting theory about Gogeta being his own person. Not saying like he isn’t but like he’s sentient. So he’s not like vegito where it’s Goku and vegeta in there. Gogeta is his own person like yes it’s Goku and vegeta, but not one of them dominates the fusion like vegito that’s why he says “using the potarra it was vegito wasn’t it?” So gogeta is aware he’s a fusion and always stares at the sunset. Like he does in the movie fusion reborn, db heroes and now. He does it because he knows that it could be his last time alive. Mainly because Goku and vegeta are getting stronger and may not use him anymore. Especially with how they’re handling things in the manga. You can see their strength growing. So gogeta knows they might not use him again and he enjoys every last moment and enjoys his time staring at the sunset. Just a theory tho, but it makes you wonder if it’s true it makes Gogeta fusion much more interesting and cool.

Well all saiyan fusions are confirmed to be separate entities that are created by a fusion of the personalities of the people fusing. Some of them have families which is why Gotenks recognizes Gogeta as his father.

This is my favorite dragon ball series movie. The animation is amazing, but what makes it my favorite is Broly. Broly has been one of my favorite dragon ball characters since I've seen his old movies, so when the trailer for this movie came out I was so hype, I even have the dvd.

What I thought was interesting in this movie is the scene where they did they Kamehameha and galick gun back to back, specifically when Goku says "Let's Go Vegeta" and Vegeta responds with "I'm way ahead of you", back in the ToP everytime Goku said that exact line to Vegeta he would respond with "Don't tell me what to do" but this time it's different which I thought was rather interesting

Couple of things: - As soon as Gogeta went Blue, Broly didn't land a single hit. - Broly adapted again at the end of the fight trying to surpass Gogeta but the gap was too wide. It is understandable that, if the fight lasted longer, Broly would eventually reach his level unless Gogeta went UI. - Gogeta was going to kill Broly. In Gogeta's mind he sees an uncontrollable monster that will keep fighting nonstop. He was going to eliminate him. Nice reaction.
