For everyone wondering. These beings do what they want, explained by David (A.K.A Vegito's alternate); W.D.W.WW We Do What We Want. They absorb the ki of the original being through contact or just being around the original person. Once they take all the ki they have, they will absorb their soul, turning into them and making the original being disappear from existance. Questions; What happened to Piccolo? Piccolo is fused with Kami, who lost his soul against an alternate. Therefore Piccolo is half-alternate. Why is the Alternate Goku Black turning Blue instead of Rosè? These Alternates are not deities. They absorbed Goku's ki, including his god-ki. TL;DR: Deity (for example a Kaioshin); Hair turns pink. Non-Deity (A common saiyan): Hair turns blue.

@@angelarce9747 Sadly, I'm afraid that W.D.W.W.W is a rule made so the artist has complete freedom over the fate of the characters. Now, the alternates can be destroyed, just like goku did to his Ginyu alternate. However, the main way it could work to completly destroy them is to be careful around them. Another thing is that an alternate can only "become" a single person, that's why Gohan's alternate killed Yamcha. So. Being with another person also works. (Like Trunks and Chi-Chi did against Goten's alternate) Fusing does NOT work, since there's David (A.K.A the Vegito alternate) and it has been explained that moves like soul-punisher does not work against them.

However we don't really know if their ki absorbtion is only limited to a single person, I'm sure we'll figure this out in the next episodes (specially when Piccolo vs Gohan's Alternate gets done) A 100% way of defeating them would be to be quick in killing them. Goku could've won against a single Alternate for example, since UI would've made him dodge any hit he could've received. But he was put against 6 of them, killing one before fleeing.

Porque absorben la energía del individuo original. El individuo original no puede hacerles daño, el intentar golpearlos o usar energía hace que estos la absorban. El creador original lo explica en su twitter.
