Technically, Gogeta or Vegito can enter the first state of Ultra Instinct based on what you stated on this video. In one of the recent chapters, Goku used Ultra Instinct sign because he said his emotions and state of mind were too messed up to enter True Ultra Instinct, so in theory, Gogeta and Vegito should be able to do the same

@@Rizzal6a6y I honestly think that's more of a "they didn't need to" rather than a "they couldn't". A fusion should have the powers and memories of everyone that fused into it, so Vegito should be able to go Super Saiyan 3 since Goku can, but he didn't need to because Super Saiyan 1 Vegito was already strong enough for what he needed to do when he was up against Super Buu, and he had a stronger and more effective form when he was up against Zamasu. Gotenks, on the other hand, *did* need to go Super Saiyan 3 when he was up against Super Buu. Plus, Goten and Trunks were still kids and thought Super Saiyan 3 was awesome, so they probably would've used it even if they didn't need it.

Actually, Gotenks showed in DBZ that the dance-fusion can split early if they use up enough energy. Gotenks and SS1 Gotenks can be sustained for about 30 minutes, but SS3 Gotenks uses so much power, that it only lasts for around 5 minutes at most.

Fun fact: Vegito Blue in DB Super is wearing the wrong clothes. If the Potara fusion fuses the two people along with their clothes (like how it did in Z) then Vegito Blue should have some form of Vegeta's sayian armor in his design. Pretty obvious that Toei didn't want to give Vegito a new look and rather just keep his more iconic appearance.

This is a good analysis of what we know so far, but I can see a few ways they could work this: 1) I could easily see them introducing a different type of fusion that blends the two personalities together. Vegeta would become the new person's ego, and goku would become their id. Maybe they would incorporate a third character to represent the super ego... but that's probably a little too cerebral for dragonball. 2) A different new type of fusion that doesn't require the partners to be close in power level. This would open up amazing possibilities like maybe Piccoloku and Brogeta. Or maybe Gohaku and Trugeta? No, wait. I got it: Frieku and Buugeta! 3) Before they reintroduce fusion, they introduce a new form called something like "Absolute Supreme Zen God Super Sayian" which incorporates both seemingly-incompatible states of mind into true balance and harmonious enlightenment or something.

- The limitations of the Metamol fusion were introduced in DBZ with SSJ3 Gotenks against Buu, not in GT. - I agree that Fusion in general is an issue for narrative purposes. - Considering the last upgrade to UI Goku made up, that lets him keep his mind and heart as usual, I think there's no issue with having Gogeta and Vegito at least use that. Pretty sure they could use Ultra Ego too, and even combine Ultra Ego with Goku's take on Ultra Instinct. - Even if they can't use these techniques, they could still use Blue Evolution, and Kaioken. - Fusions are so popular, I'm convinced we'll see them some more in some capacity. After all the fights against Granolah and Gas had like 15 phases so in a later arc a phase in which they fuse isn't exactly unlikely. - After all, the producers will absolutely bullshit their way into being able to release new figurines with different hair colors. I'm going to like this comment because you condensed the points I thought up me who is coming to this vid 2 weeks later and said a point I forgot to mention Blue Evolution and Kaioken but I do disagree with a few things. 1: TUI! 2: I don't know if it's an issue narrative wise because people are always going to try to find issues in the narrative even if they can make sense granted Naruto isn't a perfect series but people wondering why Naruto had his backstory and wasn't raised by someone, neglected, or became a hyper prodigy or why the Z Fighters don't just spam the Time Chamber now or why they never did this I don't think that's an issue. The issue is people I think not understanding the story the limits of fusion were already shown. They could introduce stronger and stronger bigger and bigger characters that either have techniques to prevent Fusion or just surpass the power of fusion and maybe fusing could actually be a bad thing. Imagine an enemy that adapts to power and is very defensive. Then image they fuse but they have like regen or some ability to reduce or distribute damage or some Kamui like ability but maybe they adapt to power and their fusion runs out and now they are getting stomped by a fusion level fighter. That's just one thing they might be able to do with a character idea that can't directly disable the fusion. Metamoran needs the power and Potara needs the Potara so like... Yeah they both have weaknesses.

@@zelz3011 - TUI is so much nonsense to me that I don't even want to utter it, but I was talking about exactly that in one of my first points (what I call Goku's take on UI) - A story that doesn't use its own contents doesn't make it a bad story, but it is poor writing. That's why the DBs or the Time Chamber had limitations, to not make the readers think "But why aren't they using that again". Fusion has limitations during or after a fusion, not before. Goku and Vegeta can't be defeated and say "We did everything we could" without using fusion. A Deus Ex Machina like that is both highly appreciated and highly criticized. - An opponent not allowing Fusion would be interesting if it happened once, but giving that ability to all future opponents (let's be honest, they don't plan on stopping DBS anytime soon) would be very boring. Like in Jujutsu Kaisen, in which the strongest character is always away or sealed, it gets redundant. Thus, we'll definitely see Fusion again, and it's not like I expect DBS to make sense.

@@nathhunter6851 I mean like one thing I've always thought up when I see Battles in DBZ and that and why they aren't fusing is I assume the battle is too intense they don't get the chance or maybe one of them is just stronger in the case of Metamoran. I mean like I think when fusion appears which is very rarely anyways because it's like a Last REsort. I mean like think of the main fusions we had outside of the games. We had Vegito and Gogeta and Gotenks. Fusion Piccolo's and ABsorptions and Super 17. Vegito & Gogeta different timelines same result. Gotenks is the previous generation that failed. Literally fused and still failed. Gogeta SS4 was legit only used at the end. Then in Super while new fusions do end up existing the main bois Goku and Vegeta literally only fuse into Vegito to fight Zamasu possibly a bit for fanservice from what I heard as I think that was supposed to be the arc Goku was going to get UI but they didn't want White hair vs White hair. Damn Shame. Although maybe it worked out better. And then against Broly which some people thought was random and out of character but Gogeta came in and that's it. I don't remember any fusions and don't know if they fuse again in the manga especially since Moro with Forced Fission just negs that. So like. - I like TUI!

@@zelz3011 Oh so you don't read the manga ? No they haven't fused again in the manga yet, but they had plenty opportunities to do so, so your "they're too busy to fuse" point is moot here. They just didn't do it cause they wanted Goku and Vegeta to lose I assume. For Black Frieza's introduction possibly. No no no, Goku wasn't supposed to get UI against Zamasu. What you're referring to is the original hair color of the SSG, which should have been white, but has been changed to red to avoid having a white hair VS white hair fight. Which was rendered useless anyways because they had Blue right after SSG. You can like TUI if you want, I don't mind. But there are like 10 reasons why it doesn't make any sense. Ultra Instinct in general doesn't make sense anymore in the manga. DBS in general doesn't make much sense at all. The more it goes on, the less I like DBS. I don't think I like it much at all anymore.

We could make an argument that Goku's new UI (which I think is nonsense since they cant seem to figure out what they want UI to be) It channels UI power while allowing him to utilize his Emotions. You Could argue that a fusion of the two would allow it to use that version of UI while also stacking UE on top of it

I agree on the unlikeliness of using both forms at once. There's a chance Goku could achieve Ultra Ego if he tried, leaving room for his part of Gogeta/Vegito to just backseat for the Vegeta segment, but odds are neither side would truly be able to access it. To truly use any form in that state, they'd either need a mixed form between the two states, or to have both master one or the other. The former option has potential, even if it seems somewhat improbable, while the latter doesn't seem anywhere near as likely, seeing how the entire point of the two forms was to allow Goku and Vegeta to split off down new routes.

What chance does goku realistically have of achieving ultra ego? Ultra ego is one of vegeta’s own techniques, which are some of the very few that goku cannot copy easily. I have no reason to believe that goku wouldn’t use the final flash if he could, since it is stronger than a kamehameha from a technical standpoint, and if he can’t do the final flash then ultra ego is far less likely.

I want to say this on the idea of ultra instinct and the different levels that Goku is attempting to use and master with the newest form being the black haired almost can't really tell that he's even in the state that the manga has just shown us in the basically final parts of the granola Arc. He's trying to incorporate the abilities in his base form which I think is doable so long as he continues this path and I don't think that would interfere with his ability to use it in either fused form because this will be a less focused state that would be achievable even possibly by Vegeta. Now as for could Goku use ultra ego I really don't think that that is part of Goku's personality that would draw out that raw physical emotion from him on any level setting aside possible shenanigans with like dragon Ball heroes I don't think that form is at all compatible with the fusion or Goku but I think ultra instinct is.

I think Vegito could master either form, he is stated as a perfect fighter and fusions do have knowledge of both fighters techniques and skills. Like Vegito was able to enter both super Saiyan and blue without any prior knowledge of them, so it wouldn’t be stretch if he can use UI and UE separately. As well, Goku is learning a new form of Ultra instinct with his True Ultra Instinct he used in the Granola arc, so it wouldn’t be stretch if Vegito could use light versions of both forms and could get the benefit of both.

It is absurd to think that someone would make such a theory. We haven't gotten specifics on how the fusions work internally, but most statements say they're not "Two People in one body", they're a completely new being and are closer to an offspring rather than two people in one body. For Example, Vegito is stated to be the perfect fighter. He only retains the positive characteristics of Goku and Vegeta. This does not include their personalities' disadvantages, like Goku thinking less, and Vegeta thinking more. Vegito is above that. The "perfect fighter" can adopt all fighting styles regardless of what it entails. He could most definitely use either, because he is the perfect fighter, he is not bound to the same disadvantages Goku and Vegeta have. If the forms are contradictory, then the fusions could just pick what form would be suited for each fight. This would be better than fusing the two forms.

Fusion is one of my favorite things in Dragon Ball. Seeing how 2 characters can combine to become Gods of Drip and Esthetic is so cool. But sometimes I feel it isn't handled the best. To a lot of people Goten and Trunks are just the people who make Gotenks, not individual people. And some people see Gotenks personally wise as just Trunks but a tad more aggressive. In the case of Kefla, to me at least, she acts almost the same as Caulifla. In fact I can't think of an interaction or situation in which Kefla and Caulifla would act differently. In both cases, it's not really fusion as a concept's fault, the blame is mostly of the writers and how they treat them. But hey, if I wanted to see more dynamic fusions, I should just go watch Steven Universe again lol

To be honest a fusion of ultra instinct and ultra ego would need a villain on the same level if not more. Moro was meant to be beyond that level....but that story ended very quickly. HEY anyone saying GT isn't Canon I would say is wrong. Anyways... I don't think this is the end of Fusion in DB and I'll explain if I still have the opinion after like 6 mins. ~ Ok yeah after watching the full thing you did bring up good things but like. I disagree. I don't think the powers or the unique paths is what is preventing fusion from happening. I think it's more characters like Moro techniques like Forced spirit fission and things like that we would likely see in the future. I know people talk about fusion a lot but the community (And the writers if they are good enough) will likely make reasons to why they can't fuse. Metamoran already has same power level and Potara well you need the Earrings I do think however they could be destroyed when the fusion is existing and that's not a problem but that means if they split that fusion well GG you can't get them back. I think the reason they didn't Fuse against Gas is because in the next Pannel you showed they legit tanked the hit of both of them with their arms bruh. I think trying to fuse against a warrior that strong would get them blitzed when they are trying to do the dance and they have no earrings around. Also maybe they are too new to their forms at the time for the fusion to still be stronger. ~~ Another reason is because Money. Do you really think they are going to miss out on the opportunity to make ULTRA GOGETA or ULTRA VEGITO? Even if it's just in Heroes HELL NAH! They are not going to miss out on that. So most likely I think even if it doesn't completely make sense they would likely give us a description and we would eat it. ~~~ I think just like Truth thinks that Dokkan when releasing Pure Saiyans events will likely have canceling Dodge appear more often to stop Teq Caulifla from dominating that the series of Dragonball will likely introduce more villains or situations where the characters can't fuse or are prevented from doing such by a technique or condition. I just randomly thought of a New Android maybe a 17 like one maybe like Cell Max but instead meant to more represent a Super 17 who maybe steals or fuses with 17 and makes a barrier that prevents Fusion within it. Maybe by scanning fighters and using their current signatures when creating the Barrier thus making most Fusions pointless as it feels like within the Barrier maybe the fighters or fusion would feel like they are splitting or would be forced out more for not being a singular being. Just some food for thought. I think Fusion brings too much the the table and is such a last resort and it can be explained for the most part why in character or in this situation they couldn't fuse or wouldn't fuse at that time. So I think especially with TRUE and BLACK that Fusion might be the final battle here and that might be quite interesting... Although overall I think it still has a place even if it's put into the other series or used in Heroes even MORE just because well MONEY and FANSERVICE!

Hold on, if gogeta and vegito are merged fighters, then they have two consciousnesses so they can be calm and also rage. This would allow a fused form of the two current strongest forms of goku and vegeta. Also ultra ego is not a destroyer technique, what beerus was referring to when he said “show that the technique of the destroyers is superior to the angels” he meant the hakai. Ultra ego cannot be a destroyer form, as jiren would not be able to claim the title of the “mortal stronger than his destroyer” since ultra ego is stronger than original MUI. Also if it WAS a destroyer form then vegeta wouldn’t have been able to name it.

It was introduced in Dragon Ball first. Manga had it first. GT is canon. Akira said it was canon but y’all just hate it so much y’all keep this bs up. At least GT Goku was sent to take over Earth. Idk how Vegeta met Goku Dragon Ball Super

Personally I never cared about fusion since Gogeta (excluding GT) and Vegito aren't characters I care about or have a striking enough personality for me to find them entertaining and in the worst case I just find them annoying like Gotenks so I think it would be good for the stories to quit using fusion.

I really how this show has come. All there doin is adding transformations for plot and fanservice. Im glad ive dropped this show after the tournament of power. DB Super is straight garbage. Too much focus on the main character Goku and sometimes vegeta and none for everyone else.
