Were being lead to belive he might be being surpassed anyway with the theme of surpassing the gods (which was apparently again a load of bullshit) And the universe 6 vs universe 7 tornament Where we knew neither would step in thanks to the nature of the competition But ir lacked tension anyway The worst case scenario is them losing But all that would happen is the 2 earths switching Nothing bad was happening to the earth regardless And the broly film had tension because it was broly's movie The tension was if broly was going to be ok Beerus ruins the tension in the rival of f movie completely Lets be honest if goku messed up twice Beerus was not going to let earth's food go away forever and would have stepped in that time (His gags about food and him being lazy and bad at his job kinda start to get repetitive but this one is just a personal gripe nothing more) You want real tension? Imagine a villan beating or killing beerus onscreen And our heros have to fight THAT That would be jaw dropping Tension would be through the roof But given the writting of the series I worry beerus will somehow still be using 70% or some bullshit percentage at the end of the show entirely Despite whis saying what percentage of power he was using in beerus's fight with goku And whis having 0 reason to lie to beerus about what percentage of power beerus was using to fight with That had to get reconded so much Because if it didnt Super sayain blue wouldve mopped the floor with beerus Being 50x stronger then what pushed him to 70% At this level of the game Beerus wouldve used so much less than 1% i honestly dont think he wouldve been impressed enough to spare goku or the earth

there's actually one thing you wrong in the timers. Potara's timer doesnt decrease if the fused fighter is too strong, it decreases if he uses too much power. which is what happend in the future saga. Meaning, as long as Gogito (Vegito and Gogeta fusing with potara) dont use too much of their own power, they will have at least 30 mins. (pretty sure Gogeta's fusion inside Gogito would end, we cant know tbh.)

Personally I think the Potara can be used multiple times as long as the ones using them are mortals. Vegito was formed to fight Buu, but then he was formed again to fight Zamasu. This means that if there is any limitation, it's that mortals can't use the same exact pair of earrings to fuse again, but I don't even really believe that. Goku and Vegeta's behavior seems to indicate that they don't see it that way. The real question is this: Say you combine the two fusions using the dance. This gets you a guaranteed 30 minute timer for the fusion. However, one of the two individuals being fused happens to be a potara fusion, and remains as such while fusing using the dance. So could the potara side of the final fusion actually run out of time and defuse mid-fusion? If so, what would that look like? Would it be the same thing as Goku and Vegeta each separately being fused to Gogeta, or would Gogeta defuse from Goku and Vegeta, leaving the three individuals unfused from each other?

The main reason I thought gogeta “lasted longer” than vegito was the main reason of raw speed. Gogeta in his first cannon iteration (super broly) has a stronger goku and vegeta BY FAR than the ones of the future trunks arc because of the TOP… plus gogeta paced himself only using the necessary power instead of being blue from start like vegito Edit: for the ones being stupid in this thread… even if dance multiplies powers instead of adding them like in the past, the powers still have to be equal… there’s nothing saying they are equal in strength just that they are equal which could basically mean that either is good for fought times… you just have to choose the correct one for each situation. Carthu never said raw strength was the problem just the energy used. Vegito still is stronger in extra boost and base to base multiplication than gogeta the only thing is that fusion dance apparently doesn’t run out anymore due to power expense… if it did it would make it useless since it would last less and be weaker so they had to kind of balance them out as tactics but at not point in time was it blatantly stated to give as much power as potara…potara y raw power is and still will be stronger the only thing is that it doesn’t last as long as dance cause of the power usage

Also get a rival/best buddy boost which the dance doesn’t have. There is nothing in the canon to suggest that Gogeta is stronger than Vegito and I’m not sure why this debate triggers people. I think kefla’s timer running out was due to the overkill of goku’s kamehameha that just took such a toll on the fusion that the potara earrings broke, other possibility is that, you saw them just unfused be teleported, going out out of arena will break it due to the grand priest his powers over the arena

Im willing to bet that Potara Fusion is more an issue with Time x Stamina, where once your stamina goes away, GG. This would explain why SSjB didn't drain the timer as fast as SSj3, why SSj did affect the time limit, and why Gotenks could be KOed out of Fusion in both Movie 13 and Super. Potara Earrings has a sort of limiter due to Kais not wanting mortals to be that OP, Vegetto was defused upon using his strongest attack, so once your power hits a really high ceiling or a set amp above your base it defuses you maybe?

In my mind, one way this would work out is (if the timeline doesn’t matter) SsjB vegito and ssj4 vegito both fusion use the ear rings then use the fusion dance. Each pair would only need to use the technique once. Heroes aren’t canon and the powerscale is bs but they were similar in power vs cumber. So in a way that would work.

To answer the Vegitos outfit question for the future arc. Vegito wears gokus style of clothing (gokus gi) with the colors reversed to reflect Vegeta. Also he has Vegetas boots and gloves. Non canon or not in heroes Vegito has been seen wearing gokus style of clothing CC Goku and Xeno Go with his colors reversed.

So a suggestion on how to technically make the two fusions fuse in the canon universe. 1: Goku and Vegeta both uses the technique where they clone themselves (but their power is also split) once so there is two of each. 2: One set of clones makes the dance while the other puts on the earrings. 3: Undo the cloning technique and the two fusions would logically be mashed together, although the results is somewhat uncertain.

Actually, given the multiplicative properties of fusion, it's worth it to use the clone technique, then use the fusion technique. Tien could technically do this himself using the tri-clops multiform technique. For simplicity, we'll say that his base power is 20. Using multiform, each Tien clone has a power of 5. Now each uses the fusion dance, and ends with a power of 25, slightly stronger than the original. Then, fuse again with the Potara, and the final power level is a staggering 625.

Potara doesnt shorten time for power level, it shortens for energy expendature. Kefla got only 2 minutes because she went nuts and blasted out a crazy amount of high powered ki attacks. Vegito got 5 minutes in the manga or 8 in the anime because of the power used up by a full power final kamehameha.

Blue was massive overkill to the point broly hurt himself by punching gogeta's aura. He was stated to show a hint of his true power at the end of the fight meaning that the kamehameha that nearly oneshotted broly wasnt even his max power. Vegito was forced to go all out against zamasu and use an attack several times stronger than himself and so he split early. Still he was blue longer than gogeta. This comparison is a bit unfair as gogeta didnt use his full power once but vegito constantly had to and defused.

Carthu's Dojo makes the assumption that the Potara earrings broke for Kefla (NOT KAY-fla) because of power level and yes they did break when Vegito used the Final Kamehameha but I think it's because of the fact how much power Vegito used in such a short amount of time and they broke for Kefla because of the Kamehameha she got hit with from Goku.
