I think 100% of the problem is it tells you to hit analog and x at the same time. but that never works. you have to hit the analog and then x.

I might be 12 months late to the party but I was stuck on this for few hours. Your video helped me a little bit but for some reason what helped me stamina break was telling myself I should move the stick first then press square. You should hear click-click with absolutely no pause but not simultaneously. That shit got real consistent after that.

Dude that trick was perfect i was pulling up and Square to guard break but i was missing, even when i was able to perform it the mentor had already escaped the combo, seemed like there was some kind of delay when you do it the upwards way, if you do it too fast you just do a regular attack, and after trying for more than 20-30 minutes i only was able to do it once and failed the rest of the combo because i wasn't even thinking i was going to do it :p pulling the stick in the direction of the character i did it first try! amazing tip man! thanks a lot.

I can get the first three fairly consistently now. It is the rest of it, especially the last 3 that I'm finding impossible. The trick between the second and third is that you have to do start the directional punch before the camera swaps directions. Then you have a god awful long pause before you can start the Square, triangle, triangle part and I can't figure out the right timing at all for the last three. It would be nice if the devs actually cared about user experience and put in a progress bar on the attacks so you could actually see the correct timing for all of this shit. This is like playing legends of dragoons but having to guess at the timing for the attacks. Edit: I would love to see the actual timing windows for these things. I have gotten to the very last one multiple times but even though I swear i get the last attack off within .5 to .8 seconds of the previous one, it STILL ISN'T FUCKING QUICK ENOUGH. Green checks while the ultimate gets started but they disappear. Fucking hell.

Even with the help of this video, I still couldn't get that up and sqaure punch thing. I had to just keep hitting up and square and hope I get it. Sometimes I did get it but it didn't hit. After maybe 5 hours of tries and fails I managed to do this. I'm pretty sure I was only able to do this because you told me to switch X with L1. Hitting X while moving to the side as fast as you need to is pretty hard for me. So switching the buttons really helped since L1 is right under the left stick. Also learning that you had to do the final attack AS SOON as you do the circle and triangle. At first I was doing it after I hit her, but that doesn't work because the attack doesn't hit in time. What you need to do once you is circle and triangle is hold down L2 and R2 and press square as fast as you can WHILE the circle and triangle attack in happening. I was doing it as soon as the attack was over but you have to do it while the attack already started.

Only way I managed to do this was floating as high up as you can. From the ground, the AI always dodges the heavy smash unless you get lucky
