They actually went and edited every single shot that the filler characters appear and removed them in every scene. I think there is only one small shot where they are visible for a few frames. God tier editing.

OMG I JUST REALISED THE SONG AT 2:27 during Chi-Chi's speech is Lost's Life and Death theme. I had to stop and rewind it over and over because it unlocked in my head that I knew the song, very well but couldn't place it. Took me like 3 minutes of listening to it on repeat to figure out what it was from. THAT'S SUCH A GOOD CHOICE FOR THAT SPEECH I'M CRYING.

Cell was very patient listening and humoring Mr. Satan the whole time 😂 I like to think Cell was getting inspired off Mr. Satan and how he was being a performer / showman, and since Cell made the Cell Games, perhaps he inherited some showmanship himself so he actually appreciated Hercule and spared him 🤣

Nah, I honestly think he intended to kill Mr. Satan, but did it with minimal effort, thinking that would be enough. And since Mr. Satan is much tougher than a normal human, he survived the attack that would 100% kill any normal human. After that, Cell just couldn't be bothered to go after him because he wasn't important enough. Even after Mr. Satan threw 16's head to Gohan, Cell just ordered the Cell Jr's to do it since he wasn't worth the effort for him to kill himself even then.

its gohan or maybe goku's genes... do remember cell is made up of everyone there... he even got the vegeta part down when goku said take the senzu and lets have a fair matchup. goku knew cell was gonna get overconfident like vegeta would.

@@MoostachedSaiyanPrince Cell even let the Camerman talk to him directly if you recall. The first thing Cell did when he became perfect was go to a TV Station directly and send a personal message. You know what most villains do? They just blow it up. Cell, he constantly at every turn goes to the media and TV And seems to enjoy the show and attention, he created Cell GAMES. Think how somebody like Vegeta would've reacted in comparison to Cell. In fact, we don't have to think, I remember what happened, Nappa just blew up the media because he didn't like the paparazzi! But Cell is different, he does! I think he has some showmanship for sure, doesn't make him a good guy, but Vegeta didn't start out good either, and he did kill an entire village of Namekians too as well as blowing up half the audience in Buu. At the end of the day, Cell just wanted a good fight I think.

He's a showman, but that doesn't mean he's merciful, and he has no respect or time for anyone that he deems to be weak, which is why he either intended to kill Mr. Satan, or didn't care enough about him to put in any effort to do so or finish him off once he had survived.

Incase you didn't catch it, "Skygina" was mentioned as Nappas movie tilte for "The Dead Zone" that Krillin pitched to him, while "Skygina II" mentioned at 8:48 is a clear reference to "The World Strongest", as Dr. Wheelo was a Neutral Brain-man at worst! Love those deep references almost as much as I love your reacts to this masterpieces.

You know there is a scrapped dbz kai dubbing where the TFS crew voiced the actors in Mr. Satan's tournament film during the Buu Saga. It never aired due to (Alleged, just what I've personally heard) Toei interference. But you can still find it on KZbin!

I just wanted to say this now since we're about to wrap up this series. I had a great time reliving this with you. It reminded me what absolute geniuses these guys are. Also, I'm reminded of how heartbroken I was when it was over. Can you do me a favor? When you finish the series (this includes the post-episode with Trunks), can you react to the "End of DBZA" video? They explain why the series is ending. It's a good closure. Figured I'd ask.

Piiza, Piroshki and Caroni were additions made to the anime, they weren't in the original manga. TFS (and many others) find them incredibly annoying and unnecessary, so they added that scene where Cell kills them and then proceeded to *painstakingly edit the three out of every single shot they're in* The absolute madlads.

I know it's redundant to comment on this since you've seen the rest and probably noticed, but the new filler characters are treated as dead as far as screentime is concerned, although there is a couple of scenes where they appear. I guess it was either too difficult or just an oversight to have them in after this, but they're as good as gone.

Man the editing and presentation of this... It's no longer a parody. It's its own series. And it's funny you ask about it being the same with Frieza going through 2 transformations since Piccolo fought him. Back when I was watching you watch the early Namek saga, I remembered Piccolo saying "And he's gone through 2 transformations since I fought him" and spent the longest time trying to remember if he said that during the Frieza arc or Cell Games arc lol. Glad I'm not the only one who thought that. A thing I also wonder is _why_ do they all think what Cell and the others are doing in the fight are "tricks"? Did they not see Cell level half a city and an entire mountain with one ki blast that he shot from the TV station? How would the explain the city being in on it and faking all that damage???

MANDATORY SPOILER ALERT FOR DRAGON BALL (the original series) When Krillin says Cell "basically Tambourine'd me" it's a reference to the Piccolo Daimao arc of Dragon Ball, where a monster called Tambourine starts killing former Martial Art Tournament's competitors. The first one to die is our boy Krillin in what is the first shocking death ever in the history of Dragon Ball.

One of the things I really appreciate about actual DB and maybe Abridged would have done it too if they had kept going, is for how annoying Mr Satan was in this arc he slowly became an actual part of the team. Even though he's just a super strong regular human he even jumps in against Moro's gang when he has to, even though he knows it's hopeless. More than one way to be a hero.

idk if you knew but for dbz kai there's this "reenactment" of the cell saga at the start of the boo saga that makes Mr satan the hero right? well they gave some of tfs guys lines as the fake counterpart of goku, vegeta, piccolo, and Mr satan, except Mr satan is played by taka (the person that plays cell and Nappa) I assume they didn't let taka voice cell because his voice is just too imposing and they needed more of a goofball

funny story about those 3 people that died. in the Abridged, YES they are completely dead. they never get to be here. but in the real show they annoy us over and over again with their garbage so TFS was like "screw them, lets cut them out" and thus their death was born. Fun fact: there's a short clip from the next episode where you can see those 3 appear in a shot. probably an editing mistake. probably forgot to remove them.
