Most of the Z fighters are so much stronger than Yamu and Spopovich, they could have just put them in a headlock and threaten them to spill where Babidi is. There are a few points like that in this game. The first time Vegeta went Super Saiyan was just as underwhelming, unfortunately. It's a shame cause other moments, like when Goku beat Recoome, show just how over-the-top amazing it can get.

I really hate this moment for Videl. In the anime it was a lot more brutal, And to make matters worst, she goes from being this tough spirited girl who takes no shit to being this submissive generic house wife archetype who does whatever Gohan tells her to do. Which I know isn’t intentional, Toryama/Toei probably doesn’t even remember what Videl used to be like. But still, it’s disheartening.

I could argue if the focus is turned on her, the old Videl came back. The Saiya-Man Mini-Arc showed her steel, subtly humiliating Barry Kahn, refusing to buy his BS about Gohan's 'infidelity', and later in the fight, not playing the 'worried weeping heroine' in contrast to Cocoa.

They can't. I mean,they CAN......but the problem is,Super doesn't have a story.....it's just a bunch of RANDOM events. It doesn't flow like Z does. You could take the events of Super out of order,and it wouldn't make a difference. You could put the Black arc before the Universe 6 arc,it wouldn't matter.......or the tournament of power right after the universe 6 arc,nothing would change.....it's not coherent enough. You can't do that with Z. You couldn't start out with the Frieza saga,then go to the Saiyan saga next,it wouldn't make sense.....or have the Android saga right after the Buu arc....wouldn't work,since Z has timeskips that Super's decided to neglect. You can take the characters out of Super and have them fight in a game,like FighterZ,but far as trying to tell the "Super" story,it wouldn't make sense.

@@zanthonyhill8818 I disagree with you on some parts. Android/Cell saga are an extension of Red Ribbon Army saga which is absent in this game. You could have had the event of the androids and cell happen at anytime before or after the Saiyan to Freiza saga and other than character arcs and power ups the flow wouldnt change much. Once the Freiza saga ended, Trunks just shows up really out of nowhere and presents them with this new problem and really the only tie in was that Trunks chooses the day Freiza arrives to drop the news, but this was unecessary because even in Trunks’s timeline Goku kills Freiza anyways, so there was really no flow here. As for the Buu saga, its similar to Super in that comes out of nowhere (because it wasnt planned out and was written simply to continue the story). With Super Freiza and Black were completely random arcs, but at least Beerus to Universe 6 to Universe survival arcs did at least have cause and effect/flow with one another, which also kind of caused the Broly arc to happen as well. Its just a shame that even tho Super has been out since 2015 the games are still focused on DBZ

I'm sure the people who like Z would buy the Super game. It'd just be hard to make Super into story-telling format,with the first two arcs really being movies that were cut up,the universe 6 arc not really having any serious stakes,fighting OVER FOOD,and the Trunks' arc ending with images of Zamasu's face plastered all over the sky. Compared to the high stakes drama-filled sagas from Z,that all sounds pretty lame.
