Well he defeated Top in the TOP (tournament of power) ;) an actual destroyer God. Also he created the opening for Gohan to finish Cell, and distracted Buu to create an opening for Goku + the other buu to charge a Spirit bomb, without him Goku and Gohan wouldn't have been able to win against most main villians.

The song is called "Chou Super Dragon Soul" and it's a really dope theme they used when goku got out of the healing tank on namek. You'll find a video of it on youtube with 1.3 million views.

It's my personal favorite anime, and it's the first one I watched (Escanor is my favorite character) and honestly the music in it is probably the best I've ever heard for anime in general, it just fits so well with everything that it is. Also while I was typing that the Cell theme came to mind, so there's another possibility
