I've used egg shells before and like a good crafter I like to think ahead and stock up. I'll never forget when my eldest son was visiting and wanted to cook for me. He was searching for some ingredient but kept opening containers full of egg shells...he just didn't get it. Again, thank you for sharing your techniques...I love how that black cover has turned out. xox

Your dragon book is amazing! I've never seen anything like it. Thank you so much for doing a tutorial to show your process. Can you share what you used for the green background? My oldest grandson has a birthday in March and I think it will take me that long to try to make him a dragon book. If that fails I'll be contacting you for one. My bet is on you making it.

Oh this process is amazing!!! Layer upon layer and then all of a sudden he's alive!!! I would love to try this as I'm currently making a dragon magic journal and didn't know what to do for the cover... then what pops up on my feed??? Your video! Very cool techniques, I might have to make omelets for the next few meals for the shells lol I have a question, do you seal the covers with anything so the gilders wax doesn't rub off?

@nancykareka6237 thank you so much. Just use a liquid sealer I get from spot light in Australia or a craft shop, or a spray sealer.

The membrane is live tissue, I don't want to take the risk of it rotting. 😉

What size is your book cover and width please and size of the dragon eyes? In inches please. I went to order eyes at 30mm but that seems to be over an inch. Is that correct?

The eyes are the 30mm, over 1inch yes. The cover is to fit A5 size paper, so the cover is larger to fit 8.3x5.8 paper. Hope that helps.
