We’ll get an entire set based on Dragons eventually, they give us one every block/generation. My guess is it’ll mash Miraidon/Koraidon as Dragon types into a Dragon Box type deck.

I know this vid has been out for a minute, but I only just discovered GLC content and have been really enjoying the format. Why does the Psychic Assault do 60 damage at 23:20? Shouldn't it do 40? 10+ 3 damage counters? What am I missing?

I love GLC as a format and REALLY want to get into it. The problem is I'm 10 years late to the Pokémon TCG. Been trying to slowly build up some items and supporters, but the collection plus the knowledge of these older cards is such a huge hurdle to overcome. Love the content, though! Keep it coming. It helps me figure out where Pokémon TCG has been and where it might go!

if you’re playing turbo moon, I’d suggest switching to something else. your matchup spread kinda sucks and you get tossed by charizard and gardy. I’m trying a single prize variant with the malevolent charge moltres and it definitely seems better. regardless, good luck!

Grass is your weakness, so playing fast and hard is your best bet. Run 2 water and 8 Dark with RGreninja to lessen Snorlax vulnerability and add a non-weak attacker against Grass. Earthen Vessel helps pull the two Waterr if you haven’t prized them, and most Grass starters being played (except Serperior & Shaymin) are snipeable.

When I do productions I always ask my guests to avoid repetitive phrases like “go ahead and” because it sounds bad in the final edit if a player keeps saying “go ahead and go ahead and go ahead and go ahead and.” It is a pet peeve of mine. I told alex, who is a great friend of mine, about this pet peeve directly before the game and to avoid saying the phrase if he could. He said the phrase three times in one turn, so I joked with him that I was gonna smack him and made him redo it.

@@maxgreen6081 garganacl, ting-lu, and groudon. personally i've been running a coalossal/garganacl deck, and it's been doing well for me. Mostly garg and ting-lu give fighting more energy acceleration that the type didn't really have before imo

Not sure you understand the context of the situation but I’m sorry you feel that way. @@TrickyGym I totally get wanting to make the video good and such, but I don’t think I’d make such strict rules for my friends on what they can say, especially something so innocuous as this. It isn’t like he was swearing or something. I would probably have just jump cut past that part, and maybe the editing fixed it for some people, but it just seemed like both of you got very uncomfortable. I don’t think it represents your character and don’t mean to make you overthink what some random internet person said. 1 unsub is nothing. I just figured I’d mention how it looked from an outside perspective.

When you get into professional productions, which I strive to do, you have to give your hosts direction (that is a director’s job). That’s just part of the business of making good content. Almost all of it happens off camera, however, so you never really see it as a viewer. My editor decided to include the moment (which I had originally cut from the video) because he thought it was a funny moment and worth including. I trust my editor’s judgement with a lot of the jokes, which I think makes the games funny and more engaging overall.
