DRAGON FRUIT midsummer issues!

Don't buy dragon fruit plants from the big box store ⏬ Unless you know the VARIETY!!!!!! 🛍️ I know, it's tempting to buy a dragon fruit plant on an impulse at the big box store (That's what I did!). It just said "Red Flesh" variety, nothing more! And I go stuck with this self sterile variety!! Which will never bear me fruit, unless I get another variety to pollinate it! ☎️I called Home Depot's supplier of dragon fruit plants, And they said that the majority of the plants that they sell to Home Depot are American Beauty, a self-fertile variety. The other is Physical Graffiti, self-sterile! Which is unfortunately what I got I think! The other thing that they told me, was that dragon fruit plants are so extensively grafted, that it's almost impossible to know for sure which variety, unless the source is very reputed! Clearly their growers were not too particular!😯 🙂Learn about self-fertile and self sterile varieties before you buy! And as for me, I have been bitten by the dragon fruit addiction bug, and I now have four varieties and counting! I even grew a couple from seed! ❤️Share your dragon fruit tips and thoughts, and questions, in the comments please!
