I was given a cutting from a friend who didn’t know what kind of dragon fruit it was. After having it in a vase for two years with plenty of roots I started researching and that’s when I ran into your videos. Your videos encouraged me to build a trellis and after two years I got my first buds just a few days ago on August 3rd I’m supper excited to see what happens .

Hi Richard. I just wanted to say a big thank you. your videos have helped me so much. I live in the South of Spain, (we have a similar climate to California), 3rd year plant, umbrella trellis (that i admittedly neglected). Turned into monster and this year had started flowering (for the first time). I have learnt so much in such a short time with your videos. Thank you.

Thanks for your channel, I have learned so much from watching it. I'm on the Pacific coast of southern Baja and my Vietnam White produced over 200 flowers in the last two months with no sign of slowing down. I've been getting 15-20 blooms every night.

Great video. I just bought a Sugar Dragon,American Beauty because of your videos…You are on a great path with what type of DF you are wanting to create being both self fertile and self pollinating….I also have a yellow variety..it just started flowering but no fruit yet ..it’s about 2 yrs old…Today I bought a Yellow DF fruit from our local flea market along with an unknown red flesh …Yellow came in at 21.2 brix.. it was unbelievable and so delicious and sweet ..Red at 14.6…It really helps having that tool to gauge the sweetness. Thank you again for all your information you share. God bless you and yours family🦋Crystal

Although my yellow dragon fruit or Vietnamese white aren’t budding yet. 😢 What do you recommend my next step be to obtain another variety of pollen to pollinate my purple haze to ensure a harvest? Do people sell or trade pollen? Lol 😅 maybe I just need more plants?! 🤭🙂

Hi😊 I planted my new cuttings in July and I'm not even sure what type of dragon fruit I have. They were a gift. But the smallest one of all seems to have a sprout growing. I didn't think it was possible, since it hasn't shown any signs of growth in branching out. It's tiny what do I do??😮 I tried posting a picture, not successful.😊

Hey Richard Ive got a question. I live in the Czech republic, the centre of Europe, and while the summers sure are hot enough nowadays, the winter is the problem. So my idea is to keep it in a pot and leave the pot outside for the summer and other hot days while putting it inside our house for the cold. (We do not have a greenhouse) Do you think it could work? Do you think it could set fruit? Thanks

Dragon fruit varieties are like car models, just passing names and almost the same taste. A group of hybrids differ in very slight differences, and perhaps the same hybrid has more than ten names. Basically, there is the yellow, spiny dragon fruit, the ura, the white, and the red. The rest are just commercial names directed at stupid consumers to fill the pockets of those in charge of hybridization.
