@@maximofffffff Again, spoilers. . . . . . . . . The demon gate he summoned should've been able to send any kind of magic it hit, and basically dump it in a random dimension. But if you watch back, the gate came *very* close to completely shattering; which if it had, everyone there would've died. Even Orsted - however... well.. he wouldn't have been dead for long 🙃But that's an idea of how powerful a spell Rudeus was creating on the spot. Both himself and Orsted didn't at that point have any idea.

12:53 Eris's screams for someone to save Rudeus always move me. The VA NAILED that panic, desperation, sorrow, love, fear in her voice. This little dude has been her most important dude for so long, protecting, guiding, peeking, groping her. The thought of losing him forever must have instill truly vivid terror into her. Also, Orsted's slight bewilderment at Eris Boreas Greyrat casting magic...what a damned fine series. I think it's a shame seasin 1 set the bar so high, season 2 is gonna have hurdles. I am a bit sad that the anime never uses "Hitogami" for calling the Man-God. That's what he was called when I read it, so that's his only name for me. :/ 20:36 Right here, you hit it. One of the grandest reasons this story is.one of the most epic!!! Just like That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and So I'm A Spider, So What?, Mushoku Tensei's late game elucidation of season 1 details, words, and events is truly subarasii! It all looked badass during the first watch, but all of that stuff you enjoyed so much still has hella market value. Btw, So I'm a Spider, So What?(Kumo Desu) would be damn fun for you to react to. What I call "The I became A WHAT in another world?!?" trinity, Kumo Desu, Tensura, and TenKen is a mighty entertaining, and well loved, bunch of anime to react to. *wink wink*

I would agree so hard. Have you seen the dub too. I've seen both and I might prefer eris reaction in the dub tbh. It sounds so much like a young teen (which she is at this point) screaming for help it's scary. Feels like it's real

This episode had so much to unpack, it's crazy. It brings up so many questions, and the way they start with such a flash forward, your head is still spinning even after the episode ends. Truly a great one.

If you compare the speed in wich Ruijerd does his spear barrage attack against Eris vs how fast he does it against Orsted you can tell how much Ruijerd was holding back. Obvious reasons why but it also serves as a scale to see where Eris stands, and well, for her age I'd say she's pretty high up there.

This episode is my favorite episode of all anime ever, even though it’s not really close to being my favorite moment throughout the entire MT story. Even more cool/crazy moments to come in the future and I can’t wait.🎉 Great reaction btw 👍🏻

My brother sold me on MT, i dont initially like the series but after the 2nd turning point, im just waiting for the next turning point because it raise the bar of the story for me. Definitely the top 5 anime ep i watch, 1st is Code geass last ep, then 7 ep of violet evergarden, and episode 13 of hyouka, then probably this episode

No Spoiler. Orsted crushed Rudeus lungs. Therefore Rudeus pumped air into his lungs with magic. That doesnt heal anything but it gives him a few seconds. Rudeus blasted himself away with wind magic to create distance. Rudeus compressed fire and created plasma. Thus absorbing oxygen around himself in a GREAT radius. If Orsted didnt absorb it with that gate, the entire mountain would have been blasted away, killing absolutely everyone in the facility. Except Orsted of course. Rudeus didnt use healing magic on himself, because he has no prior knowledge about medicine from his former life. As he can only use voiceless magic with concepts he understands. He is great a physics and chemestry, so he can easily do it.

Btw, @Angel Rod , good on you for instantly seeing that those are wyverns, not dragons. 4:10 Eris has clearly grown up to this point. He reaction to Ruijerd's prescription is so calm and reasonable. Yeah, she is ecstatic and elated, but she quitwly asks Rudy to pinch her cheek, no screaming, no backflips, just conversation level exclaimation. Nice. 8:32 I just thought...I would love to know what the Greyrats' lives would be like at this point if what Orsted said was true. Paul and Zenith with two adorable daughters...their lives would be woldly different, right? 9:13 I think Rudeus is ridiculously foolish to mention that creepy nudist god to anyone. He was just so excited, he couldn't keep his trap shut.

Since these are mythological creatures.... dragons are whatever the writer of their story wants them to be. this isnt dnd. This is Mushoku Tensei and Rifujins world. I, in complete honesty, never ever understood the debate around the correct biology of a mythological creature, because on one side, it is a mythological creature and on the other side, because the origin of the myth itself is by far not a straight line and definitely has multiple paths, especially if you realize that there's not just the european Dragon. There are for example the Asian/Chinese Dragon-Serpents, among others from other cultures, which brings us to the direct origin of the european Dragons as well, the World-Serpent, or as it is called in norse mythology Jörmungandr. Which doesn't even have wings or legs, because, it is a serpent. But it is very likely the origin of the Lindwurm. Which is depicted as having both legs and no legs, wings and no wings. So its sometimes a giant serpent and sometimes even depicted as the modern 4-legged winged Dragon. So, even historically speaking, if we're actual dragon purists and do not accept anything but the original, then the one true Dragon actually is a giant serpent. So whatever counts as a Dragon in a story is solely depending on what the writer wants to count as a Dragon in her/his story. With Dragons in it, it is a fantasy story after all. It shouldn't matter. It just should be consistent in itself.

That whole freaking episode.... Orsted is DREAD. Ruijerd the unstoppable force is frozen in fear just from feeling him beyond his field of vision. Then when Orsted runs in for the kill you see that altho Ruijerd is afraid he wont back down on his conviction. he WILL protect the kids no matter what. When he says "RUDEUS RUN" its him giving up on his life cuz he knows there is no chance he is getting out of this alive. The desperation, the man we've never seen to break a sweat i going all in but Orsted is casually parrying him bare handed. Ruijerd has the reach because of the spear... yet he is the one losing ground constantly and getting hit by palm and finger strikes. Then you get Eris losing her mind calling for help... mother, father, grandpa... ANYONE.. RUDY IS DYING. fck that episode man.... wow.

I HATE that this starts with the flashforward. No anime-onlys got to experience that extreme "WTF!?!??!??!??!?" that novel readers did, having this "fight" happen so suddenly and out of nowhere. I get the "why" of them showing the drama of later, but it is degrogative towqrds the plot progression. Le sigh.
