I would imagine that the rear wheel played a significant part in keeping the body more 'slammed' to the ground, and helped considerably in keeping the truck more planted in the turns.

the first clip is of my dads dragonhammer with me driving. silver arms and exhaust tubing. for all these clips i was driving. defo needs lowering. And when is the baja one coming out? my baja better be in there lol

Dragon Hammer in blue is a V2, I run a Dragon Hammer and a VEKTA-5 as long as you run them with a low ride height and set the suspension as full droop they will go round as if on rails, both the V1 and V2 have anti sway bars but need stiffer at both ends, my VEKTA-5 has the optional front anti sway bar but again needs to be stiffer but the rear is OK if you get the Vertigo performance adjustable canter lever sway bar link in the second hole it is just right. It does need the wider axle extension's, I have got round it by going over to the usual single wheel nut extensions 10mm and Silverback RC 5imian wheels originally for the 5ive-T as they have a 4mm off set this is just right so the V2 ones would work aswell.

Update on the first dragonhammer, the front diff was dry so oiled with i think 40-60k. Been widened and sorted now

Great vid, Terry. Agree on pretty much all your points. I don't like the 5ive-b, buggy's are always a bit soulless. I know I own a Baja which is a buggy, but all Bajas have soul by the bucket load. Even the 5ive-t is a bit lacking in the soul department, it's just too good at everything! I look forward to the Baja vid!

I think id prefer a DH over a vekta5 impo I think the v5 is abit floppy if thats a term I could use all the ones I've seen seem to be set up wrong suspension wise.. I dunno maybe its a weight issue or could be just me being a baja guy. Either way cool video, looking forward to the baja video, if set up correctly a baja will turn with the best of them.. alot of baja's we see are very bouncy on the rear thus effecting grip n turning ability.. mine turns great lol :-P

I've been reviewing some of the Baja footage, and unlike most other RC classes it is unforgiving. A good driver can tame it and even win races, but for most they 180 or 360 quite often because of the loss of front traction and steering under speed.

The hammer at 3.30 that's handling well is mine! Do I get a prize? It's a v1 running zen290 with preload at minimum and a bit of droop screw adjustment to lower the front. I got it used so shock oil is unknown. It handled the oval very well. Max camber and tow out on the front end ala stevo and hand cut v1 ( hard ) tyres. Low grip / dusty ground equalled less rolls but there is def a hammer driving style u need to adopt. I did not use brakes but coasted into corners for the most part interestingly..... Agree that handling wise the 5b is streets ahead! It should be as it's basically a 1/5 race buggy!

Waiting // Outside 😆😆. Despite its rep for rolling I've got to say it wasn't an issue for me at all. I did roll it but not so much for it to be a problem. I need to get out and bash it like I do my other trucks then maybe the handling and jumping ability will be poor... I'm kind of expecting it to be. I've got my eyes on a 5b. I think it looks possibly the best all round 1/5 about at the moment with a good compromise of agility and bash ability. 🤔 thumbs up again for the 1st vid in a while I've watched more than twice! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 What do u edit with out of interest?

yeah... i agree it should do. however i have had mine do some weird stuff on rough ground... more runs required for me for sure.

I'm a Vekta fan. Love the rear solid axle. Body looks great. Seems to handle turns OK. But same as you can only afford to run one car. Losi 5ive t. Very happy with it so far. Rtr radio is junk. Cheers.
