Thanks for the video! Den Beauvaisdid four of those "chess" covers for Dragon magazine and later did one for Gygax magazine. Search by his name to find more information. Thanks for another walk down memory lane!

Lost this issue in a basement flood. Sad face. I loved the ecology of series. especially when Elminster delivered it. Great premise: hopping around helping fiefs and kingdoms deal with their magical issues. The module was solid in this issue: Who doesn't want to fight baba yaga?! But the best part of Dragon Magazine was always Wormy! Trampier was always a piece of real magic set to ink. Wormys eventual departure from Dragon magazine was followed by my own.

My favorite issue. Lost my original a decade ago, but just purchased a replacement last month, at Games Plus in fact!

Cities of Harn is nice I have that. Used the maps in a world I was working on.

June 31st? Makes me wonder if that’s an April Fool’s joke… and yes I know this issue is from March ‘84.

First Dragon I ever bought. Mainly for the Baba Yaga adventure. Never used it but isn't there a T-34 in it? The Loresmaster adventure turned into the Shadow World setting. And some of the MERP suppliments are amazing even if you don't play MERP or RM (pick an edition) for maps and settings.
