Tode Sekuloski Wood Carving

Tode Sekuloski Wood Carving

Күн бұрын

I carved 140cm tall dragon priest staff inspired from the PC game TESV: Skyrim.
For this project I used walnut wood, wood stain, sand paper, jigsaw, angle grinder, wood carving chisels and lots of love and patience.
Please DO NOT TRY THIS at home if you donʻt have an experience with power tools.

Stunning piece, interesting use of an angle grinder, I'm going to start using mine for more wood working in the future. Also it would be rly cool if u added commentary, ik its harder to do but it would make it more instructive for beginner woodworkers

This is just outstanding work. Very impressive. If you don't mind one piece of well-meaning criticism, your thumbnail is too cluttered. I had a hard time seeing the staff for all the greenery. I think this video could really blow up with a thumb that was simpler and cleaner. Just a thought!

Great Job as always Tode! I'm a big fan of your work and got inspired to try out woodcarving myself, with some of my grandpa's tools- nothing fancy- but it was fun and i learned a lot! Mainly that Olive wood is very hard and splinters easily and that you should try whenever possible to carve in the direction of the woodgrain ;) Where do you get your wood from? How do you get the thicker plancks?

As a suggestion: use a cup hook screwed into the base of the staff (bottom) to hang for drying. when it is as dry as you like, then unscrew the cup hook and finish the bottom. I do this for staining and burning my staffs and it will keep the wet stain from being marred when you hang it up.
