I freaking love the hd-2d look! And ill keep saying i think its a missed opportunity not to put these kind of games in VR. I can just imagine looking down a little 3d environment from a sort of outside perspective with these little 2d sprites and see them move around that envirinment in 3d ish look and all their attacks and spells would look so cool in that spritely hd-2d but 3d look that way! I dont think it would be too crazy hard to do AND would really give you a bang for your buck in a vr headset game. They could even incorporate fun mini games/attacks with the controllers akin to something like skyward sword tried to do

@TP-pq9xx could be! As im not a game creator i just assumed maybe they were already 3d environments with 2d sprides moving through the space. So i figured it would be that big of a leap to swap out the camera for a vr headset display and let that be the camera instead. Like lookijg down at a 3d diorama. But maybe its not built like that and it indeed would be tons of work. Still think it would be worth it and help the vr market boom imo

So the difference between easy, regular, and hard mode is the enemies are easier to kill or are damage sponges and just need to grind more... I would have hoped by now with a turn-based RPG they would get more creative with difficulty modes. Different enemies have different skills/abilities and how they use them based on difficulty rating. It wouldn't be very difficult either for this style of game.

Why couldn't they just add a 3rd person view option to the game during battle. It's alright to keep true to the original but also give other options as well. You are not limited like back in the old days. Sadly this well be a pass for many when they find out that it's only first person battle view. Such a waste with gorgeous remake graphics.

As much as I love DQ3, would have love to have the remake on DQ1. It was after finishing DQ1 and 2, and then get the surprise that the hero of DQ3 traveled back in time to become the legendary warrior of DQ1 that blows people mind and nicely wrap up the Erdrik trilogy.

Technically, all of the art for DQIII-HD 2D is new since character portraits have been re-drawn, but there's been some character design changes: - The female Warrior has a tan-colored crop top and shorts added under her bikini armor, likely to keep the age rating low. - The Priestess had her cross insignias changed to tridents (though that's an old change). - The female Gadabout has a little white strip of fabric added to the chest of her bunny costume, possibly censorship, possibly to make it legally distinct from real Playboy Bunny costumes, possibly both. Her bottle also had the alcohol sign removed. - A green troll boss had his big pink lips removed, most likely to avoid comparisons to racist black face imagery. That's all I know so far.
