We are currently in Chapter 2: Rimuldar. Previously, Davilas completed the challenge to obtain the Crown Goowels, which involved catching and defeating the King Slime at the Slime-shaped pond past the Red Teleportal. He also set up a platform for his Ballistas for the final battle with the Hades Condor, and then he completed the challenge to raise the base to Level 5. Now, he will carry out the final base battles for the chapter, culminating with the battle against the Hades Condor.
After resuming, Davilas makes himself a Silver Shield and does a little more setup. He already has the Catholicon Ring, the best in status protection.
He talks to Gerontius to begin the first of the preliminary skirmishes (time 2:08). After Davilas responds that he is ready, the battle begins. In the first phase, a group of Drohl Drones attacks. In the second phase, a couple of Bodkin Fletchers lead the way, followed by suspicious strangers that become Walking Corpses. The leading monster is a big Bodkin whose arrows can inflict paralysis.
Davilas and the townspeople emerge victorious (time 4:58). Davilas earns 5 Antidotal Herbs. Quest complete!
When he is ready for the second skirmish, Davilas talks to Gerontius again (time 9:15). When Davilas responds that he is ready, the second skirmish begins. In the first phase, a group of Killerpillars leads the assault, followed by a couple of Frizzle-spamming Drackolytes. In the second phase, more Killerpillars appear, along with suspicious strangers that become Walking Corpses. The monster leader is a large Killerpillar.
Davilas and company soon beat back the monstrous onslaught (time 11:37). Davilas earns 5 Tingle Tablets. Quest complete!
When ready, Davilas speaks with Gerontius about the third and final preliminary skirmish before the boss battle (time 12:35). Davilas indicates that he is ready, and the skirmish begins. In the first phase, a group of Treefaces attacks, but they are no match for sturdy wooden walls and Evil Idols. Look out for their hunger-inducing dance. The second phase starts with two Tearwolves, who can damage even wooden walls with their attacks. Then, more suspicious strangers turn into Walking Corpses. The leader of the assault is a Corpse Corporal. If you have Divine Daggers, they can paralyze this enemy.
Before long, the monstrous forces have fallen (time 15:42). Davilas earns 5 Medicinal Herbs. Quest complete!
The final battle for Rimuldar is now available. Davilas digs up his flowers, as they can get destroyed easily in the monstrous assault.
Davilas speaks to Gerontius (time 17:27). Davilas has already set up his Ballistas high above the ground. Davilas indicates that he is ready, and the final battle of Chapter 2 begins!
A scene takes place before the battle (time 18:40). The area around town becomes the battlefield, and the townspeople disappear. The Hades Condor, the Winged King of Corruption, appears.
After the scene, the battle starts in earnest (time 19:09). The Hades Condor first calls for backup. Davilas should leave the base and take out the condor's cronies right away. Prioritize the Tearwolves, which can break through even wooden walls. The condor itself follows a counterclockwise flight path around the base's exterior. As it does so, it will deploy spherical wind attacks that can damage the base.
The Hades Condor will "rest its wings" and hover briefly over the western walkway. At this point, Davilas should attack it with a west-facing Ballista. Look out for the multi-projectile attack that it spits in the meantime. If the condor takes enough hits, it will fall stunned to the pathway, and Davilas can rush to attack it at close range. The Ring of Criticality and a Falcon Blade will both help immensely.
When the condor recovers, the attack pattern will repeat as it calls for help. The number of cronies it calls increases, as does the number of shots the Builder must deal with the Ballista. It will also gain a new attack, a whirlwind that will scoop the Builder up and eject him/her into the swamp. The Builder should seek refuge under a roof, preferably of stone blocks.
Eventually, Davilas defeats the Hades Condor (time 24:41). The prize is the Storm Stone. Davilas learns how to make the Staff of Rain.
After the battle, the townspeople reappear in the base. Next time, Davilas will make the Staff of Rain, restore Rimuldar, and end the chapter.
Thanks for watching!
