It's time to get the words of wisdom, it's time to get your crayons and your pencils... Wait, what? 1:58 - 2:13 - It's funny that you mention that, because the NES version did indeed have a Cannibox in this tower. I think it was replaced with a Mini Medal chest in all of the remakes(Which is most likely the one you opened). 6:25 - 6:33 - While I'm not sure about this version(I'd have to see if Blasto was changed), I remember the Hero no-sells Blasto no matter what in the previous versions(Which makes since, the Hero can't be recruited from the tavern). 17:18 - 17:27 - Words get! 19:53 - 23:21 - Warrior Dorothy! This a nice switch because the Merchant learns Helichopter, giving the Warrior a nice group target ability. This is how my party changing progression went: Cleo: Merchant > Mage Steph: Monster Wrangler > Thief > Martial Artist (Did a coin flip to decide between Warrior and Martial Artist) Luna: Priest > Sage If there was anything I wish I did different on my play-through, it would have been changing to a Monster Wrangler instead of starting with one. This is in part due to monster recruitment, more of the early ones aren't skittish in comparison to the later ones(What I learned here will be good for future more in-depth ones, though). 24:30 - 24:50 - Heh. I knew this was going to happen after class change.

If you're going to have your party members end on a certain vocation after getting all the skills from the other vocations, then you'll see my recommendations below. The first party member that can max out their skills and or spells is going to be a merchant, my merchant 'somehow' almost went through thief entirely before my wrangler and Gadabout could learn all their skills. Also yes, I suffered the Gadabout stunning my entire party a lot. Now here's the end game vocations breakdown. Gadabout- As an end vocation... this is of course the weakest vocation to end on. What is their special though as a final vocation? Eventually a free 'full party heal' at random, note: RANDOM. worst. Merchant- As an end vocation money is not going to be an issue if you do the monster arenas and they have poor stats in general. Better than the Gadabout and has some unique equipment. Wrangler- As a final vocation, it can use good equipment at least. Third worse as the passive stops being useful eventually, also you get all the monster abilities if you level up once after collecting enough monsters and have freshly changed into this vocation late game. Thief- Getting rare items passive as an end vocation and can have decent equipment on them, you can get a lot of stat seeds and make your party members quite strong by end game. Warrior- Can equip good armor and weapons as a final vocation. Equipment is as much as a warrior gets though, good tank and nothing in passive ability aside from that. Sage, Mage, Priest- Specialized equipment can do unique things, things like magical rods used as items work better than they would for like say a Warrior or equipment that raises resistance against ailments without having to equip an accessory. Also why would you have a Mage or Priest as a final vocation when the Sage could do it all? The Top Tier for a magic using vocation is Sage. Martial Artist- Is the best end vocation for it's passive effect, the higher the level the higher the chance to crit. The only problem is it's limited equipment, which really won't matter if you are using skills from other vocations to make up for it. Top Tier just for the damage output, Martial Artist is the best overall vocation to end on as it takes a while to get all their skills. First place Martial Artist, second place Sage are the recommended final vocations. Thief or Warrior as runner up. Never Mage, Priest, Wrangler, Gadabout or Merchant.

You forgot the truly most important thing, Phashion! in which case everyone is a 10/10 except merchant is like a 5/10 and warrior, not because it's not a 10/10 but cause with the big poofy lady hair it's an 11/10. (gadabout is jokes, unless your a masochist then 13/10, bunny suit+ big poofy lady hair)

At least Dragon Quest makes more sense with it, especially in humans and monsters supposedly being able to change into each other (very involved process either way). Mario just seems to have monsters that will change sides at the drop of a hat, especially when Bowser's concerned

I DID the three gadabout run, to 48 (one of them was slow getting the last skill), and I tell you, it was a special kind of pain.
