17:00 "Whereas Dark Souls is built entirely around that RAW combat." That depends heavily on which installment of the series you're discussing. For much of the early parts of Dark Souls 1, you're almost encouraged to use all kinds of items and environmental features to sidestep fighting enemies and bosses "fair". It's only once you get to the late game, and the DLC, where the game expects you to master the combat system and employ twitch reflexes. (To a lesser extent, this dynamic also holds true for later games in the Souls series, minus Sekiro which IS raw combat with a splash of ninja tool use). Meanwhile, Demon's Souls is even more "Zelda" in its encouragement to abuse items and the environment to avoid straight-up fights. So I really think the "Mean Zelda" comparison is more apt than it appears.

14:05 - 21:00It was slightly painful to watch how easy the platforming in Sansa Keep was with the Cling Gem; Just knowing how hard it was to do with only the Sun Greaves. But simultaneously that only makes me feel more accomplished for completing it without the gem :3 22:06 The time trial for my favorite outfit in the game. Also I love how quickly Naka has just been: *Activates time trial and takes one look* "Nope!" through out the let's play.

On one hand; Game dev and coding is hard. On the other hand; I found it hilarious how slapped on it was when I first got the it in my playthrough! I was expecting the bar to get longer but when I saw the little addition to the HUD knowing a little about coding I just was like: "Yeah, I feel that."

Dedede's dash attack (Giant Dedede Swing) can cool the fire blocks to make them breakable, cooling with wind instead of ice.

Honestly, I just don't like water in Kirby games period. And this is coming from someone who's generally fine with swimming controls in 2D Mario games. Not only do you get a huge nerf in speed, you can't use most abilities and you instantly lose your ability when hit. If it was used as an occasional level hazard it'd be better, but entire levels built around swimming are the definition of unfun.

I've never been bothered by a water level, especially not in Kirby. The swimming controls have always been pretty good, and they're not that slow compared to other games. Getting hit and losing my ability always feels like my own fault. The music in the water levels also more than makes up for any possible negatives

Wasn't Sasuke's deal initially that he thought his brother was evil, but really his brother just did the dirty work for the far more corrupt ninja council and related conflicts that went back generations to the first Hokage and Madara Uchiha? And then once he realized that, he decided he would take down other corrupt groups, like the Akatsuki and Orochimaru (the latter of whom came back because convenience!) and ultimately decided that the present ninja system could be improved by Naruto and thus he became the "shadow", doing the dirty work as well. Which means he really just turned into an only slightly more positive version of his brother, given he lost an arm, but got a cool eye upgrade that made him more broken than he already was somewhat (but not as broken as his brother, who was so broken, Kishimoto basically had to retcon almost that he was slowly dying and going blind because of his super eye jutsu?)

Ah, the wall-glide ability, which adds a cute little black sleeve on Sybil's left arm. IIRC, you can do it up to six times in a row. Also, I believe you now have all the abilities needed to do the time trials.

The problem with the people making fun of animation cause of smear frame isn't that the smear frame is bad it's when the smear frame goes into a huge number of smear frames that it becomes the animation. A good "good example" is the Aladdin smear frame where it's actually a short in-between frame to normal frames that indicates speed, a good "bad example" is better connected to the pain fight where it's supposed to be connected to 'speedy' movment that goes on for so long it's not a smear frame that's actual bad animation. The Naruto series happens to be an easy example where the smear frames stop being smear frames in many fights

You have acquired 'Wall Glide', which is entirely different from ninja wall running. Wall glide does not mean you'll glide through the air, you'll glide along the surface of walls. This powerful method of traversal will get you far... horizontally at least.

13:00 I only realized after watching this part that I didn't ever get that 4th wall kick powerup oops... apparently I only 95% the game. 19:50 Easily 50% of the fun of this game is getting things the "Unintended" way, The other 50% is just how fun it is to control and get around! (Plus a bonus 25% for having a fantastic soundtrack!) *Edit 12:22 That is one thing I love about this game is the fact that there are no achievements or rewards for 100%ing it because it almost makes it MORE rewarding in it's own way of just enjoying the game

I must admit, this remains probably one of my top 5 favorite Naka let's plays. Even with the rougher and understandable anger with the game, this is still such a joy to watch again and again. Naka and Ogre were on the ball with the humor and Raven made a good third man.

1:27 Stand still and hold B, it'll charge up an arrow, which you can then angle up and down! 11:53 So you were actually supposed to hit that with the pole, but you just missed! Remember you have your Hammer Flip move! Up + B and Dedede will set his hammer on fire, and then hit 'em with it! This is your most powerful attack and effectively your boss killer!

So actually, Dedede DOES have a cutting move, it's his charge beam you use by just holding B and being able to aim it! Have to make sure Dedede can complete various puzzles that aren't just using fire or smashing down stakes, I suppose

Down + b and dash +b have a lot of i-frames if you use that while the bosses are doing quick attacks you can avoid damage all together and get some damage in

Hammer is one of the best abilities you could have for Coily Rattler. The hammer flip will almost always hit its head, which deals with the boss really fast

Kirby games are surprisingly very aggression heavy and Naka plays very defensively. Also chances are Naka just completely forgot about the move entirely.
