Yeah, DQV originated the feature, and the SNES/SFC version of VI added on to it. Then Monsters then started a whole new franchise from there and VIII followed suit from there.

I just beat rank s twice with talos, Octurion, and Skelidiod.. hero lvl 31 and have not even stepped foot in rydens tower yet so i dont have girl right now (forgot her name).... beat it once hit the reload key by mistake and had to do it over and won again, after reading many guides on the teams you need to beat rank s I think I just proved them all wrong
