He is both completely serious and exquisitely sarcastic in every breath. It's like he is a doing a parody of a person doing a parody of himself. His voice inflictions are contagious. Tim forgot to mention another difference the Definitive Edition has. This time punting enemies with your horse DOES give you EXP (a tiny insignificant amount but something nonetheless) as opposed to the zero EXP the vanilla DQXI versión gave on PS4 and PC. Just felt like pointing that out :)

Hi Tim, I wanted to hop in and say that you single-handedly convinced me to play Dragon Quest XI for PlayStation 4 last year, and it was my second favorite video game *of* that year! (Also, my most favorite video game of that year was Celeste, which was also a game your videos convinced me to play.) I got the platinum trophy in the PS4 version of DQ11, and all the changes to this version seem really neat and I would probably really enjoy playing it! Unfortunately, I am *extremely enamored* by the way this game looked in 4K on the PS4, and every time I see the Switch version I really do wish they would just release the S version as DLC on a 4K platform. Hopefully that happens! I would buy and play that without hesitation.

Never have i randomly clicked on a video without realizing it was 33 minutes long of such slow deliberately paced and repetitive script and stuck to the end without even pausing. 'Neat' i tought at first, i will just pause it, add to watch later, resume it some time after, 'i will let him just finish this point and move on' i tought. On each point. Until it ended. And now im mad that i don't own, nor can i afford right now, a nintendo switch, therefore being unable to imediatly buy and play through Dragon Quest XI : Echoes of an Elusive Age- Definitive Edition S for the nintendo switch. You sir would do well giving up journalism for marketing, you could single handedly outdo any square enix western department. I cannot get over the spritework on the 2d version. It looks SO much better than so many (already good in their own right "retro throwbacks". I love the 3d graphics so much though too. Hi Tim Rogers, I just wanted you to know I bought Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age S Definitive Edition, based on this review. I haven’t played in depth a Dragon Quest game since the original Dragon Quest game on NES, I tried 2, 3, and even watched that Dragon Quest Anime to death when I was 12 that would be on Saturday Mornings at 6am on Channel 9, I have all the Dragon Quest Anime episodes on VHS from back then. Nearly 30 years later I still want to know how the Dragon Quest Anime ends... Sorry, I digress. Anyway, thanks for recommending Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age S Definitive Edition, I’m fairly certain you saying Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age S Definitive Edition repeatedly had nothing to do with it. Tim, do you know how can find the ending of the Dragon Quest Anime that was Dragon Warrior in America? My inner child is sad to have never seen it.
