This is still the best adaptation of this piece. There's such intense emotion in every note of it. I used to listen to both the original and this live performance on repeat for hours while studying in college 15 years ago. I'd often end up in tears. And I still do.

20 years after this was originally posted, and I still come back to this song. I played it through high school, through college, through grad school, and now as a full fledged adult doing adulting things. It's provided me the escapism and euphoria I've needed, regardless if I was studying for a test or burning the midnight oil on a work related project. The first time I watched this, I was nearly in tears. The Dragon Roost Island theme is my favorite Wind Waker song. Maybe out of all the LoZ games. Even more than the Gerudo Valley theme! xD This is so amazing and actually...beautiful. That's how amazing it is. I cry over video games a lot.
