i hate how a lot of people shit on this game just because trains were involved. this was a good game, with a great story and great boss battles and puzzles. and the part that people were dismissing this game for, the train, was one of the most fun parts of the game. riding around, blowing the whistle at everything, blasting enemies with the cannon, going through portals, tunnels, and forests, it was all ridiculously fun. hell, even the escort missions, where you brought people to different places throughout the kingdom on your train, were fun. i'm not going to say that it beats out MM or Ocarina, cause i've never played those, but it still feels like a Zelda game ought to.

I think ppl hated this game because it's a sequel to phantom hourglass (a kinda bad game) Edit: hah, I made this comment years ago and forgot about it. I love Phantom Hourglass and at the time I was just kinda following the popular opinion from the time.

I've never actually played this game, but it just seems kind of strange to have a train in a fantasy game. That's like having a train in the Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones. I'm not saying it's a bad game, though, because again, I've never played it. It just seems different.
@thevioletlightning01398 жыл бұрын
Burt Macklin well, they had steam powered boats in Phantom Hourglass, so trains aren't really that far fetched. especially since the story of Spirit Tracks takes place after Link and Tetra from PH settle on a newly discovered continent. trains would have been the next logical step from steam powered boats.

I've never played any Zelda games so far... But I just listened to this song again and it almost made me cry (but in a beautiful way). My younger brother has played this game and he once showed me this soundtrack. I really loved it! It feels so nostalgic and adventurous to me. I liked it so much that I started to learn it on the piano (which I can play decently), but I wanted to play it... properly! Since there are too many notes to play at once for one person (I took in almost all the instruments in my piano arrangement) I thought to myself: "well, you could play this with your brother!" He loves the song too, but he can't really play the piano. So I gave him the easier part. We started to learn it but we stopped after a while... Maybe not enough motivation, I don't remember exactly. Anyway, all of this happened maybe two years ago. Now I moved to Germany (my family lives in Italy) for university, and today... I was playing the guitar and randomly remembered this song! I tried it out and I still remembered some of the chords by heart! It wasn't difficult to find the missing ones. And now I came back to listen to this song on KZbin and it really reminds me of my brother! It's a beautiful and sad memory at the same time somehow. (He's still alive just to be clear) :))

Listening to this track, now, so many years later, honestly makes me cry... It was the first Zelda game I ever finished and the one that truly got me in love with the franchise. This game represents my childhood, my dreams, it built me, just like the whole series did ! I'm not kidding when I say Zelda games are not only my favourite games, but also the second thing I love the most in the world, after Space. And this song, full of bittersweet nostalgia, will forever stay in my heart, in my soul... Thank you, The Legend of Zelda, for making me who I am, and who I will become ! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Exactly, I feel that Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks get ALOT more crap from people then they actually deserve. They're mainly hated because they're both different from other Zelda games but the controls flow well and they are actually still very good Zelda games in they're own right. Yeah they both have flaws but the positives WELL out-weigh the negative (at least in my opinion).

This was a beautiful song, and an even better game. A very underrated game, and a real gem for the DS Lite. The best part of this song was to carefully match up the train's sounds with it to serve as a sort of background instrument.

Unfortunately we arent friends anymore even tho I can see his house from mine...

Both DS games were great in my opinion, but I some people points. Despite all points, however, you have to admit the DS games have some of the best, most innovative boss fights. Console boss battles are still rather predictable, while the DS ones are less so.
@swishfish885810 жыл бұрын
the DS ones were good, sure. Though my favorite was ST. The gameplay in PH was solid and totally enjoyable. It was cloned in ST, almost painfully so, right down to the four dungeons and the return to an ever-expanding one after each. Buuut ST had an instrument (the most fun one to play thus far!) and I honestly prefer the train to the boat. Mostly because, despite being on a track, you could control the thing without setting a course first. And that's just cool. And Zelda is "dead". That was a cool idea, too. =P

So easy yet hard to believe this game came out 13 years ago and I was 8-9, playing on my ds, I remember sometimes I'd actually just drive the train around to listen to the over world music. I recently replayed the whole game cause as a kid I never beat it (I was scared of the phantoms n demon trains) and it brought back a lot of nostalgic feelings for LOZ games and I fully enjoyed the experience. Spirit tracks, imo, is #2 best Zelda game and ost for a Zelda game.

Damn the nostalgia hits so hard here. I remember the Christmas morning I got this game; I went to my grandmother’s and showed it off to my cousins all day. That weekend my parents took me to this lodge in the north of where I live on a vacation and we got snowed in. I took that time to complete this game in a few days. I was really content then. I remember how warm and comfy the bed was in that lodge, the fire, sitting there with my DS and joking around with my parents. It’s a memory I hadn’t thought of at all until hearing this song again; funny how music unlocks memories like that.
