When you find all of the pieces of the talisman, there is an animated sequence that shows you getting immortality, which consists of the talisman turning you into a stone statue.

I loved this game in my youth, have a copy of it now for DosBOX

This was originally developed on the Amiga and is best on the Amiga (like most games that had an Amiga version--and pretty much all of the games from Europe).

Oh man, I never did complete a game of this... what a backhanded fulfillment of the wish for immortality. :D

Just in case you didn't know or wanted to know, ironically when the game starts, you have all the ingredients you need to make a super mega dragon with maximum on all stats. I once printed off the instructions to go with the game if I ever wanted to have a play :).

Had a corrupted copy of this game. Was amazed by it all (could play for a bit till the game crashed). Sadly never got hold on the recipes for the alchemy, but today they're up on the internet, so might give this game a new try if I can find a working copy :D

.. and now that I think of it, there is another song too, which plays while you ponder your moves (it is usually played in the castle screen), while this one is more properly the Character selection screen music.

I found the other song I was looking for a few months ago, thanks :)

I could not finish this game in my amiga 500. Great one.

If you dig around on old Amiga archives, there's at least one rip of the audio for this game... but you'll actually need an Amiga emulator and a specific piece of software to play the music, since it was in a custom format made only for this (and one other) game. XD

There is actually the music for when you manually control your dragons in an arcade sequence ... I found the mp3 rip for it, if you are interested let me know how to let you have it

Hi, thanks for posting it. I loved the intro music and if there was a way to easily rip the mp3 out of it I'd do so. Actually there *is* another song in the game, which is my second-best liked. To hear it, you need to run a mission actually piloting your dragon as in an arcade shoot-em up. It has some really breezy and exhilarating tones, probably because of the actual DRAGON's BREATH rumbling in the background :-) I'd be very grateful if you investigated it and uploaded it.

Would be nice to get a let's play of this. Never did see the ending.

Can anyone post the music to the shoot-em-up style village attack, where you controlled the dragon itself? Or maybe its on here already? Any links?

Yeah there's a perfect potion to get a super dragon, after 100's if not 1000's of attempts I stumbled on it........Only certain doorstep vendors have the right stuff though. I don't want to bring the whole Amiga VS Atari ST argument back up (console/format wars still rage to this day) but the Atari version sounds much better.

I often appreciate the chip tune sound of the ST's YM over the Amiga these days. And always for tracks that aren't particularly good uses of the Amiga's digital sound capability, like this one. However, tracks like Shadow of the Beast (I/II/III) just can't compare on the ST.
