Pretty sure Mystic Spearhand is NOT MK, but rather a new Hybrid vocation, since Daggers and Bows are not under the same vocation anymore

Glad to catch your reaction to this, and it makes me happy to see others as excited! I do wonder if the pawn catch is as rare as it used to be, I only had it happen in the demo for Dragon's Dogma 1 and never again in the actual game over 12 years... And yeah, Mystic Spearhand taking over Mystic Knight is awesome as a MK main. Giving every vocation an identity and making sure none are stepping on others toes looks like it will be freakin' phenomenal!

The mage have some new spells as well as upgraded old ones like the ice attack shown here. The one she cast at night that acts as a shield is new.

What I find the most interesting about all this is how they seem to be taking what they learned from the MMO given how the weapons are more separated into their own classes like with Bow and Dagger being their own thing. Slight confirm for Alchemist Fist?

The thing that really excites me is the possibility of having more available moves to set. Thief and Archer (and Warrior in particular hopefully) would benefit a lot from being able to set skills to both of the skill buttons despite not having a secondary weapon.

Dragon's Dogma 2 looks just like its predecessor. I am just trying now Dark Arisen, and combat seems so damn fun. It really feels like a combination of Dark Souls + Baldur's Gate 3 + Monster Hunter, but it's its own thing. I don't know if I will finish the first game, but I can't wait for this one. I hope there will be axes though... Btw you are fucking hilarious.

Mage and Sorceror are not rolled into one. Also in first one Pawns you could catch you when you fell. Also 100% sure Mystic Knight is till in. Mystic spearhand is 100% sure thief/mage vocation. Mystic Knight will be Warrior/'Mage. Also you could grab on Harpies on first one.

I think mystic spear hand might be thief-mage mixed vocation, not fighter-mage. Like mystic spearhand is magic attacks +weapon dps and mystic knight is magic buffs + weapon tanking. Idk.

I'm VERY Excited. i definitely notice the combat seems a little slower but as long as its still so SO satisfying to play thats what matters the most. I'm a bit worried they got rid of their Mystic Knight Class in favor of that Mystic Spearhand which is kinda a bummer to me because that was my favorite class but I'll keep an open mind when i pick up the game regardless.

Having seen more gameplay the combat fascinates me due to how dangerous it feels. In the original game, once you really got some levels in and the ball was rolling, you'd typically mow down mobs and mini-bosses like you were a DMC character. Here it looks like just one mistake while fighting the bigger guys could feasibly set you up for disaster if you aren't careful. In that same vein, it feels like co-operation with pawns is very heavily emphasized here, fighting together you stand a chance while fighting on your own seems like you very much have your back against the wall. Which is great! Very exciting stuff. Cannot wait to properly explore this game.
