i believe its comands she was spamming help command which mages always use heals for help command. i think to me command wouldve been the right one

That was the "secret" Magick Archer skill, Martyr's Bolt. Increases power at the expense of increasing your Loss Gauge, and the more max health you sacrifice (until you rest at camp or in a town), the more damage it deals. He sacrificed pretty much 95% of his total health, hence why Martyr's Bolt did so much damage.
