Is this a 2d or 3d animation? Is it similar to the animation effect used by the KZbin channel “Dead Sound; Dinosauria”?

Yes, it is pretty much the same effect, the backgrounds are 2d ( Hand drawn ) and the characters and most of the cell shaded stuff are 3D. the only difference being that my characters use cell shading over a sculpted mesh, Dead Sound's Characters are fully painted ( hence why his look a lot better than mine ) The next film though is fully 3D, as cell shading was annoyingly difficult to get right.
