Man, The feeling is mutual. I remember just sitting there, listening to the music on it even when I wasn't directly playing it. So much emotion convayed with this music. It reall does reach the soul.

To this day, this remains in my top 10 games. I play through it once a year, and get as much joy out of it as I did back then. Just saw it hanging in a CVS for $20 and begged my mom for it cause I thought the cover was cute. Knew nothing about. Little did I know, that tiny child and horde of monsters would change my life.

I only had one friend who played this game with me as a kid (cuz I introduced him to it) -- other than that, I’ve never met anyone else in real life who knows about the series; as if it was classified by the government. lol It's been cool seeing other people who are equally stoked by these DWM soundtracks. I know, it's super obscure. It's funny, I played it as a kid on my Game Boy Color because my friend in a small town in the middle of nowhere happened to have an extra copy. Needless to say, it's a nostalgic experience that you just can't recreate and we're still good friends today. :)

I recently uncovered this game while sorting trough things in my draws so I can move, I remember when I found it in a parking lot, no sticker on the cartridge, just a simple grey cartridge. I had no idea what it was but it ended up being one of the most magical games I ever played as a child, I had almost forgotten about it. I think I'll play it for real this time... I was never very good at it but the music played when I turned it on, I haven't felt that type of joy in a long time.

I ended up not having this cartridge anymore. I was pissed about this considering I put an inhuman amount of time into my team (LordDraco, GenoSidoh, GranSlime). Fucking loved this game. Literal masterpiece. Edit: correction, nuclear pissed. I was in a prime setup on that cartridge considering I had a high level boss key.

This was one of my first hand-held games. Even though I never became more involved in the franchise like I did with Pokémon, Tara's Adventure holds a special place in my heart. I still sometimes sing what I remember of Town's Appearance, Carrying Courage, and Monster Battle. I created maps and monsters for a LARP inspired by this game. Thank you for sharing this nostalgia freight train with us! 😄

Tipgoifaf . Agreed- i was always bummed more people didn't know about this series, in light of Pokémon's success. Pokemon rocked too of course (I played all the way up to gen.04), but DWM was always my favorite of the two -- definitely deserved to be at the top with Pokemon. Anyways, i’m glad you dig the dwm2 mix man! The nostalgia is high indeed, relistening to all of these tracks -- difficult to put into words. ✌

Good choice, gotta love the somber soundtrack too. I always enjoyed the _Metaldraks_ in the frozen lake tower [Cobi's journey], and was baffled by the _FooHero's_ with the glitched moveset in Yuna Forest.

Sorry to hear man! Unfortunately I don't know how many more soundtrack videos I'll be making; I'm working on a new one now (also just released Banjo Kazooie & Tooie last week), but it might be my last one, as I'm transitioning into making real KZbin videos, thus spending my time/effort there. I'll keep your suggestion in mind though and see if I can get around to creating an extension for at least one of these main tracks. In the meantime, enjoy this extended mix for DWM ambiance! -Peace

Update- i was actually able to burn out one of the tracks today; it's the "Into the unknown world" track, but I only extended it to 15 minutes (I might not have done it at all otherwise). However, as I wrote in its video description if you right click on the video you can select Loop and have the video play itself over again automatically when it finishes (thus equalling 30+ minutes). A good question- when I was making the mixes for this & the first game, I wanted them to be as chill and enjoyable as possible, so I didn't include all the tracks, I left out the ones that I thought could be either overbearing or repetitive when extended. (e.g. the boss battle theme is pretty hectic) It was hard to tell how the final product would go. But I changed my style after awhile and decided to start including as much tracks as possible, like in my videos for Banjo Kazooie/ Tooie & Pokemon Red. I finally included the Boss battle theme in my combined video for DWM 1+2. 👍

When you say you "arranged" these 11 tracks, I assume you're talking about the fact that you picked and ordered them in a specific way. Barring extending their length, you didn't alter the compositions in any way, correct?
