So you prefer the anime nonsense trasformations and abilities that come out of nowhere without explanations than the manga version were everything happened very differently and better explained since the end of the champa tournament going forward, like vegeta using red(god form) since black arc, black using ss1 because he didn't know how to use blue yet, vegeta beating black more than once in the black arc, goku and vegeta for the most part always use red form since blue just like ss3 uses to much energy, in the manga vegeta and goku only use blue as last resort to end fights, and they have perfect blue, and not this bullshit called blue kaioken or blue evolution, Every arc in the manga since hit vs goku, happened completely different from the anime nonsense and childish version. The anime doesn't follow the events of the manga, nor the transformations, or serious tone, and doesn't have blood and violent fights that the manga have. This game following the anime is not really good, since the anime is bad in many points and for a lot of reasons.

I really dislike this graphics whining shit that people keep doing, if this was a cheap cash grab I'd get the complaint but jesus this is literally the biggest dragonball game made in decades. And if it looks like a 2000s game? Good. It means they didn't sacrifice gameplay for graphics for once considering the gameplay we've seen.

I agree with you. He should have his ki blade in a lot of his combos. He literally uses it always during the fights in the anime. It’s even how he made his debut as Rosé, when he went straight for the stab through Vegeta’s chest. I don’t know why they have seemingly underused specifically his ki blade in this game. I’m pretty sure if you ask anyone what they think most of when they hear about or see Rosé Goku Black, they are most likely going to bring up his ki blade. And that ultimate looks amazing, but the transition from the slice to the kamehameha looks a little weird. Love him regardless though and he looks amazing in this game

Not to mention both Xenoverse 2 and FighterZ made it a part of his base kit as Rosè. finally this Tenkaichi game promises to be cool, but it's a shame, we don't often see his ki blade technique. Yet it's his signature technique, (Zamazu / Black), they should have imported the system of personal techniques from dragon ball raging Blast 1 and 2. These are not the best Dbz games but the different personal technique for each playable character in the game, it was clever, it allowed different Gameplays for each character, and allowed you to build combos from the character's personal attack. Suddenly, you played a character differently from another and it was interesting.

I really wanted to be excited for this game but I just can’t. Too many character and too many nonsense characters. I saw they had multiple end of z gokus. Why is it so difficult to have one character who can transform levels based on available power bars and when they transform it changed combo strings and stats. The graphics are gorgeous. I think the arena destruction looks basic but god damn the ki blasts look amazing. But I just can’t get past the roster size the repetitive characters. You could use the side characters as support characters only. I’m sure a bunch of people will enjoy this but the combat looks basic especially compared to fighterz.

They have replicated the anime fights yes but at the cost of making the cast pretty much play exactly the same(homogeny). And no, slight variations in combo strings is not depth. Not enough stimulation for me. Thankfully the new Bleach game strikes a healthy balance between depth and fan service
