The video from 16 during the Red Ribbon Saga is just...captivating. The distinct silhouette but still keeping his face shrouded in shadow. The bird just hanging out in the background. The ambient noise that serves as background music, getting louder the closer we get to closer RR HQ’s eventual destruction. Hearing kid Goku charging up the kamehameha towards the end...I just...there are no words. As much as say, Gohan going SSJ2 or Tien’s last stand are moments from DBZA that fill you with an indescribable sense of joy, this moment with 16 is the antithesis of that. It’s honest to Kami heartbreaking. For an abridged parody, it’s given us so many good emotional moments, especially during the Cell Saga. So, before I go on to finish this series one more time, thank you TFS. Thank you for everything you’ve done to see this through to the end. We will miss this.

I think there's actually an argument to be made that Cell is the worst of the big 3 villains. A lot of people don't like Freeza because they grew up with a dub where he sounds like a creepy old woman, but in the original Japanese he's pretty badass. Cell is mostly just more Freeza, except for his first form which is more creepy and monstrous. But he's just some lab creation, not an emperor feared across the galaxy for centuries like Freeza. Buu is fun, unintelligent and unpredictable in his actions and thoughts, not your standard haughty villain.

Honestly this episode encapsulate so much of what I like about dbza. The changes they made to the entire cast, especially popo and dende, are perfectly summarized by watching this episode. That scene of gero's son before he was recreated as 16 is just gut wrenching. Cell being simply perfect. Bulma, being goku's longest friendship, isn't even lightly phased by him poping out of nowhere to warn her that sex make babies. So many things, from the huge "in your face" changes to the small detail of characterisation. Everything is on full display in this episode. Funny thing is, nothing really happened. The purpose of the episode clearly seems to be to let the pacing breath a little and setup stuff for the season finale

@@IskateUphill uh he had the cells of everyone pre-Namek saga because the camera bugs were destroyed. The only absorption of the z fighters after that is when he took Piccolos arm, so if you want that to be the reasoning behind the memory thing, go for it

Yeah but Cell can use the super kamehameha which I thought wasn't until namek so doesn't that mean he has the DNA of everyone after namek? The bug camera I thought were only for the androids

@@luxgaskin6494 nah man.Super Kamehameha was first used by Goku against Piccolo in the tournament so they definitely already had data on it. They still collected right after the Namek saga because Cell had Frieza's and King Cold's DNA. But that wouldn't exactly give him knowledge of what happened on Namek.

Man, Toriyama has got to include that clip in the actual show. That way, it’s more understandable to why Gero wants Goku dead. Me personally, for Gero, it’s not always about the Red Ribbon army. It was more about getting revenge for his son
