My dad is a drummer and I learned of ToP through him. When I was young and heard this I immediately showed this to him and he could tell there was def an infulence as well as other songs in the game he knew took the same beats. (This was before i was aware of the whole controversy surrounding the games OST) Hes really into funk and jazz music. He also like the MvC2 traning theme.

Tower of Power didnt create any of the tunes. True that it is their songs, at least a few of them, but it wasnt them performing the tracks on the OST. Also, as far as I know, Tower of Power remixes are only in Budokai 2. Kenji Yamamoto, a Japanese composer redid them and might I add, amazingly. :)
