And the second is about character design and that is that each character must represent something with their appearance, whether it be symbolism in their attire, way of being or gestures. In this case Gohan from the future represented by Toei animation, He has 3 points in his design that represent him. The first is his outfit, which as I mentioned is larger than his father's, the second is the shape of his hair that resembles a very short version of the goku's hair And the third is the way his voice is, monotonous and lacking expression. All of this gives us a lot of insight into Gohan without having to explain it in a textual way.

I'm not sure if it's on the internet, but there was an excerpt that explained that Gohan wore his father's gi, as it was the only thing left of earth's defender. I don't know if you'll find it in articles and stuff, but you're arguing with the wrong guy. I'm not giving assumptions, it's a fact. All that other stuff you said is cool, just doesn't apply here. As, it's his father's gi he's wearing. Not his own. So he doesn't fit it, because him and goku are not shaped the same, at all my good sir.
